  1. Exactly! I have no idea what that is... I've blown it up to 200 and 400... still looks like a bloody planed down end grain fir 2x4. Rj
  2. BFG - you should be wasted on Prozac. A white straight jacket is also in order.

  8. Yup - they suck alright, but they'll get ya drunk! on the microbrews!! Even the US has some incredible microbrews. But we do have to slag them on the beer thing... that and hockey Rj
  9. Actually we were invited.... we just have a better party going on... you know... with REAL beer! Wish I could sympathize with your "universally hated by all" problem... as Canadians we pretty much get mugged by buxom young ladies in every country we go to. Seems they know about the party too! You should visit sometime... Rj (awww, we really love y'all, it's just so much fun YANKin' yer chain!)
  10. As long as you're aware of it. Tell your friends... Rj

  13. My Grandfather was a Spit mechanic over in Britain during the war. He was aiming to be a pilot but they changed the eye chart he had memorized and he flunked his eye exam. I would have loved to have heard some of his stories but Altzheimer's took his memories before I was old enough to really know anything. My Grandmother's brother was killed liberating Holland. While she was alive she was regularly invited to join in their remembrance ceremonies. She went a few times at no cost to her. I bought "The Battle of Britain" on DVD when I spotted it at the grocery store the other day. Great fighter plane footage! Remembrance day is also an important day for me. Rj
  14. This reminds me of a conversation I had with a couple of bike officers down on Robson St. a number of years ago. One was riding HD and the other was on a beemer. I asked which one they prefered. They both answered that they prefer riding on the beemer, but they want to arrive on the HD. They say sometimes just the sound of a HD pulling up can dissipate a "situation". I thought that was an interesting point of view. Rj PS - not only will those CHP dudes give a ticket to their mother, the ticket will be for the missing turn signals they just broke off her bike!
  15. I'll punt a penguin to sucka you in... Yak fat is factory spec for the Greaso... Rj
  16. I wanna be the Almighty Quiz God!!! Man, I've been waiting for one of these "deity" jobs to come up... No points for you!! Rj
  17. And stick your tongue out to the LEFT, stand on the RIGHT leg only, point your free index finger to the sky and close one eye. Wierdness accompanies anything with a "made in Italy" decal. Rj
  18. quoted form article: "The Griso was developed and tuned for the challenges of classic Italian terrain—serpentine mountain roads, sweeping lakeside roads and high-speed stretches of highway populated by the likes of Lamborghini and Ferrari. The Griso is master of its terrain, delivering an exhilarating and precise ride at every turn, no matter how technical, and on every straight, no matter how fast." What mouth breather are they trying to fool by mentioning the Grease Pig in the same sentence as Lambo and Ferrari???? I almost spat up lunch when I read that! Rj
  19. staedtler - can't open any of your pictures.... Rj
  20. DUDE! You're not supposed to put that in there!!! Rj
  21. I'd call that "making a statement". Loud and clear. Just like his violin playing ... I'm just not sure "sandbagger" is what he's trying to say I've missed a lot of the races this year, haven't seen one since he wrapped up the championship. I have seen him having difficulty on a few of the tracks tho'. I would also love to watch him race at Phillip Isle, or anywhere else for that matter as I've only seen him on the tele. Rj
  22. That's 'cus Guy bought them all. Him and his dirty raincoat... Rj
  23. Hey Hey Hey! Them's my boys down there! Good to see our San Diego Chapter involved in a cool event! Certainly don't want to offend that crowd Very cool pooch set-up you have there Chris! cheers, Rj
  24. Sandbagger?? no... but he was on cruise control at Laguna Seca. He was whining about the track the day before - hated the "hump". And that is a track he had never been on before. I just think he didn't have his head in the race so he just cruised into third. Faster at the end as he became more comfortable. He knew the Americans were on their home track - young Nicky has raced most of his life on that track. A smart racer knows what an advantage that is. but to call him a sandbagger?? shrewd and smart is what I'd call him. We may never see another racer of his caliber, the "Gretzky" of M/C racing. Rj
  25. When I had my Chev, I drilled holes right through the bed and top rail of frame in the right spot for haulin a bike. Installed serious eyelets and wide washers from the hardware store. Had hesitations about putting holes in my brand new baby... but then I realized it's a bloody truck and meant for such treatment. Never had a problem haulin bikes after that. except my regularly broken down buddies from the vintage brit club had me on speed dial... Rj
