  1. You've sold me on the velocity stacks. Rj
  2. Sorry 'bout that - someone should have cleaned that up. Moppers to aisle six please! Rj
  3. I know exactly what you mean. I've got a pile of wore out parts that used to be a V11 with 12K kms on it. If it isn't wore out, it's leaking. Rj
  4. How long is the piece of string? Rj
  5. "You're all raving lunatics!" - H. S. Thompson "I'm so happy, 'cause today I found my friends, they're in my head..." - Kurt Cobain Rj

  11. Sounds like a sanitarium to me... no way they let him out... Rj
  12. not strange at all. In fact, the very first post in the FAQ's section will tell you all you need to know. Rj
  13. The only time I experienced anything was doing 120mph on the I5 passing a tractor trailer. When I hit his headwind I had one hell of a tank slapper! Other than that, I've had no handling issues with my '01. It is somewhat unstable in the corners if you don't have the revs up - can be unsettling... but keep the revs over 5k (where they should be!) and she corners on rails. Just switched to a 160 rear but until I get the pig sorted I can provide no feedback. Rj
  14. Yes, same as on most Ducati's that used Brembo Goldline brake components. Number of years... just need to find ones that don't have "ducati" plastered all over. Rj
  15. I see you also have Mistral cans fitted. You can install stucchi or pipes without much difference, but together you will run lean. Shouldn't be super lean.. but factory settings were all over the place. Rj
  16. That's enough of that language!! http://www.engrish.com/ Rj
  17. I used Aeroquip firesleeve - used to heat shield/fire proof aircraft fuel lines. I still have a bit left over - shoot me a PM if interested. cheers, Rj
  18. In all the cases I've heard about, including my own, the vapor lock occurs when the bike has been parked for 10-- 15 mins. Heat builds up as the pump and inlet sits right above the cylinder when on side stand. 20 mins later its fine again. It isn't a problem when the bike is moving, and you should have air flow over it when running. Locating pump inside tank provided a cool liquid for the pump to stay cool in. All you need to do is shield the inlet line to the pump and MAYBE shield the pump itself. I shielded the line only and have not had the problem reoccur. I'm convinced the vapor lock is in the line before the pump, not in the pump itself. If there is vapor in the pump but fluid at the intake, pump will still pump fluid. If inlet to pump is vapor then pump will not overcome the suction. In terms of volume, you will get vapor in the fuel line before enough heat builds in the pump to vaporize the fuel there. It's a $20 fix and takes half an hour. No need to over engineer the problem. As for heat escaping... not a problem as it never builds up to begin with. cheers, Rj
  19. That's Badbadmotogirlygoosey to you Mister!! Rj
  20. I don't get it either... but since it's BFG, you can logically assume he's making fun of you... and Martin.... and jrt... and himself. I wouldn't worry about it - he only teases because he loves... Rj

He also said "dual purpose". That beast only has one purpose - boat anchor. Rj
  22. I do have the same Givi fairing that Steve has - does work very well. I can stick my head out in the wind or hunker down out of it. Unfortunately my digital camera fell into a gravity well recently... There's a shot of my bike in the gallery, and another if you go to my member info area. Neither is particularly good tho'. It came in flat black plastic - cheap to match my gloss black paint. Great product, easy to install, looks great, all stainless and rubber fasteners, adjustable angle, I have no issues with it. cheers, Rj
  23. Yeah, but has she shagged the Fonz??? Rj
  24. Holy crap! I out-googled Martin!!! Although I do like what he came up with... Look out Martin - I'll be looking to snag a few of those quiz points next round... Rj
  25. I'm guessing that at a minimum, he'll be needing new undies... Rj
