Yes. Rj I just don't want to read so much about their feelings and how one has to have his little hissy fit just because he wants his opinion listened to, and how the other one is aware of his needs because they have known each other for so long.... Just way too much fluff. If I wanted to read that crap I'd be reading Harlequin. What does an ITALIAN bike have to do with it???

Good to hear - I'll try that one next. Just finished "The Long Way Around" - very disappointing. Interesting read and their experiences but waaaayyyy too touchy feely for me. But then, what can you expect from a couple of artsy fartsy actors. Finished "The Perfect Vehicle" last month - very disappointing. Certainly not worth the hype. Typical of works written by proofreaders vs. writers. Too many convoluted words, phrases and sentences when easier language was called for. I'm an educated guy with a decent vocabulary, who reads quite a bit. Far too many words I had to go look up. Difficult read. Decent story. Rj

Sorry to hear that Carl. If it makes you feel any better I'm out of commission too, stuck watching the bikes enjoying the beautiful spring weather. Separated shoulder... cheers buddy! Ryan

Firstly, I'm definitly freaky - wouldn't have it any other way. Secondly, I do believe that we (Canadians) are still the only ones who have kicked American ass on American soil. I even seem to remember us burning down the White House at one point... but I'm sure that was never mentioned in an American history class... BTW... who's the Queen?? And how the hell did she get her picture on our money dammit! That might be the Irish in me talkin tho'... Rj

Just in case your V11 won't pull the really big stump outta the field... Now it can also pull the plow... Rj

I don't think your wrapping the pipes is what did it. It sounds like you have the "vapor lock" problem. After a spirited ride, after parking for ~ 1/2 hr, the fuel pump vapor locks and you get exactly the result you describe. Possibly retaining more heat with the pipes wrapped...?? not sure ... Let it cool for an hour and all is back to normal. I am told (as I started having the same problem last summer) that a couple of feet of Aeroquip Fire Sleeve aircraft hosing fed over the fuel lines solves this. I'll try it out once I get a chance to run out to the airport and get some from a supplier. Common problem and I'm sure others have found solutions as well. Then again, I'm not sure your Scura would be susceptable to this... Rj

sounds more like "weedtree mechanic" to me. Rj

Buy one relay - put it in your pocket. You'll never need it, unless you grab the wrong jacket on the way out the door. Rj

You'd think so... but no. HD and cutting edge just can't be said in the same sentence. Look for them on the top agricultural machines list. They would get the sympathy vote in the US only. But then, look how the Americans elect their politicians... I'm surprised to see a Guzzi on the top 20 list at all. Surprised there isn't a BMW. Most are no surprise at all. Brough, Bonneville, Vincent. Can't argue those. Can't argue the VFR - an under recognized bike that will still come up from behind and surprise the the "fast" ones. Gsx, F1, 916 - soulless, but no arguing their place on the list. Old crippled men still whisper in delighted horror about the Kawi triple... I like the idea of a poll here on this topic - provided we only include bikes available to the common man - no brittens, no GP bikes, no Guzzi v8 racers, no Orange County Crap - keep it real, vote for bikes that deserve to be on the list, not voting for the "prettiest bike I ever saw" crap. Wow!! You actually got the card Many have gotten the letter, only a select few actually get the card... or help when you need it... Rj

Ah, yes, the hoofed passenger of the foot... I know him well. He's the one who keeps whispering in my ear...."you really NEED more motorcycles..." and "ooooo... look how fast you can go here..." and "big bore kit. big bore kit" and "That'll hold..." and other things I shouldn't mention here. Now, I like a good collapse and tie up myself occasionally, but that skid demon's got nuthin on the hoofed one. Hi Hi (tooteling vigorously) Rj

Yeah, Land Rover owners aren't easily impressed... certainly not by anything I have to offer! Now this guy headin' up to fix the steam vent... here's the fine line between dangerous idiot and master bodger. Idiot - goes up with hammer alone. Bodger - always prepared, brings along WD-40 and duct tape just in case... Kind of like the fine line between moron and genius. Rj
-
amateur bodgers! The only tools a true master bodger needs are: 1) WD-40 2) duct tape 3) 5lb hammer Use the WD-40 for things that are supposed to move but don't. Use the duct tape for things that move that aren't supposed to. Use the hammer for fine adjustments. Rj

?? image doesn't come up for me Søren... Considering we live in a rain forest and usually at this time of year we are just getting out of 3 months of almost solid rain/drizzle, we have had an exceptional number of sunny and warm days. Gonna get out on the track soon Jim? Let us local folk know when you'll be out there - Not too interested in watching it come out of the box, but would LOVE to see it thrashing the corners at Mission. They have a few track days this year... cheers, Rj

It is indeed a very beautiful day - we've had more than our share for this time of year! Gotta get the new shoes on the goose this weekend! Rj

careful guys... Antonio's gonna get pissed again... Rj

Closed throttle to apex doesn't work for me on this bike. If my rev's aren't high cornering is erratic, hard to keep the line I choose. Rev's up over 5K and she corners on rails. After apex roll it on smooth and a quick gear change. My rear tire locked up quite often on engine break and downshift (with a nice little kick out to the side, change the line just enough for a good pucker on the seat) the first bit I had it. Advanced rider course on the track and got that all sorted out wth the revs thing. It was all me. Slamming the trottle off hard just before turn = rear lock and skip, also downshift with lots of revs same result. Keep the revs up! cheers, Rj

morbid is right! At least it was appropriately named... Rj

Is that a Michelin all-season on the rear... that is just so wrong. soooo wrong. Rj

I'm surprised they aren't suing every fence manufacturer in the state for not forcing the cheap ass garage slum lord to buy protective fencing. Certainly they should have recognized that people would not be able to resist the temptation to hurl their brainless bodies down six stories. Let the lemmings be. It's not like they are going to land on some poor hapless soul walking beneath... Spread out some newspapers down below and let 'em jump. I just want to watch... sounds like a marvelous spectator sport. Rj
