  1. I recently installed the MG Ti exhaust and Ti ECU after which I did Doc's decent tuneup, valves set at 0.006/0.008, TP at 150mv and TB balanced. The bike runs great. I'm just curious why the instructions that came with the Ti kit says to adjust the TP to 550 mv +/-5 mv.
  2. Yes- Fragile, what a great album. Rick Wakeman wasn't to shabby on the keyboards either.
  3. Great write up and pictures Chuck. This should go into the How To section.
  4. Doc, I'm not sure about the bucket trucks with there booms but I always use the stop/safety rod when working on the bike or just having it sit there. I would think it would definitely help take the strain off the hydraulic cylinder/seals, plus the safety factor it provides.
  5. I just received one from MG a couple weeks ago. I figured carrying a spare is not a bad idea.
  6. Started her up today, just had to hear those pipes. A short video to celebrate. http://vid113.photobucket.com/albums/n238/Bigblockzuki/Moto%20Guzzi%20V11%20Greenie/V11%20Exhaust%202_zpsrfvickuo.mp4
  7. There's actually a rubber mallet on the bike lift in the first picture. Can't have a picture working on a Guzzi without a hammer in it.

    Sounds good, thanks.
  9. Any change in temps with the other relays?

    Ti exhaust

I just did the v11Lemans.com Decent Tune up prior to the install of the Ti pipes, that was with the Stainetune pipes with db killers out. Should I do it again with the Ti pipes and ECU that are installed now. Just want to thank you guys for all your help.

Does anyone know what the factory CO setting is for the Ti ECU. I know I set my stock ECU at 0.
  12. Thanks guys. Can hardly wait!
  13. Well, I want to thank everyone for there input on this project of installing these Ti pipes. By loosening all of the exhaust system, putting some Copper anti-seize on the joint's and tightening everything from back pipes to front exhaust it went well. I have a few more things to do on the bike before I start it. Tomorrow she will be running! A few pics
  14. The new G8HE relays are definitely cooler. Looks like I will be ordering some soon.
  15. Thanks Scud for the picture, that's how mine kinda looked when I was trying to install them. But like you and docc say the Guzzi seems to hang to the right. Also I didn't realize they should tuck up that tight. Tomorrow will be a better day for getting these pipes on.
  16. Yes I am.
  17. Makes sense. Like I said, tomorrow I will loosen all exhaust fasteners and go from there. Today after trying to make it fit properly and not getting close to how I wanted it to look, I thought I should take a break and go on the board and find out how the rest of you performed this delicate operation. This is why I think this board/forum is like one big happy family the way everyone helps out. Gotta love it.

Chuck, how did does it run at +20?
  19. Thanks everybody for the suggestions. Never thought about loosening the crossover, head pipes, or using a little copper antiseize. I just put the exhaust together without tightening it up but wasn't getting good results. I will give it another try tomorrow. Docc, I think that was an open invitation to some clever innuendos!
  20. Are there any other tips regarding the installation of these Ti pipes. I have them on but they don't seem to sit as nice as what I have seen in some the pictures posted with these pipes. Maybe I'm not holding my tongue in the right direction. I have followed the tips Scud has mentioned in another topic, such as don't install the springs and it is difficult to have the pipes terminate symmetrically. Am I being to picky/anal as how they look?

    Ti exhaust

Thanks JRD. The PO installed the FBF lidless airfilter kit and now with the Ti exhaust/ECU I will probably experiment with the CO level once the weather warms up.

BMWDavid, I agree they do sound great without the db inserts.

No problem Marty, when I hooked up Guzzidiag to the bike, the CO was set at -67. The bike ran alright but setting it at 0 made a huge improvement. Docc's post on a Decent Tuneup got me to check the CO setting using Guzzidiag.
