  1. And the Guzzi parts dance begins! Thanks , Pete. I've had good service from AF1, a Piaggio dealer in Austin, Texas.
  2. Just re-read this entire thread. Thanks to Docc for his time and skill. Don't get on the forum often, as I have little to contribute. That said, I add my thanks to Docc's for all that you do, Mr. Roper. While I await my backordered rear plate light housing (don't ask), I shall attend to that shock linkage and swingarm bearing service. 10 years and 24k miles is quite long enough.
  3. Well, I did rearrange the MG flag I drop over my '08 Sport...
  4. So, if I show up on the 7th of September, there will be some Guzzi riders that might help me change my OTHER valve cover gasket. Cool.
  5. Dang! Remove the rear wheel, and you get a bitchin' proctologist exam table.
  6. We finally had to take it away from him.
  7. One must continually practice one's race face. And yes, that's a Kangol hand me up from from my hip youngest son.
  8. Just a heads up. Sloan's Powersports, a large, multibrand dealer in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, has TWO NOS 2014 V7 Racers on the showroom floor. They are tagged at $7995. Original retail was $10 K +...
  9. Bucket list alert! Meet me by the lake! A pipe dream, perhaps, but I am praying hard that I have the health, wealth, and a few riding buddies to do Mandello del Lario come 2021. Should be quite the bash, eh?
  10. I'm new to this game. Perhaps a little late, but I applaud your efforts to "Sporterize" a Norge. If you look closely at my tiny, tiny profile picture, you'll see what I currently ride.
  11. Bellissima! Let's start planning now for the 100th Celebration. 2021 in Mandello del Lario!
  12. Why, yes, fine sir. I took out my GB 500 here in Nashville with about 110 other ladies and gentlemen for a spin about our fair city. We raised $9000!
  13. Worked for me. Actually, Docc worked for me. The PO claimed he had paid $600+ for an "18K" service. The only thing we could find that MAY have been done was an oil change. After the TPS reset, an idle adjustment, valve adjustment, and the guzzidiag hookup, my 12S runs crisply, and has no more stumble off idle. Well done, Docc!
  14. As a true noobie Guzzi owner, I have little to contribute, other than enthusiasm. One quirk I have noticed on my "o8 Sport is cold start occasional stalls and pretty dramatic hesitation off idle throttle until he warms up. Any comments on that? And welcome, Jestergrin_1!
  15. After following Docc's V11 around for the last 16 years, I finally came to my senses and found my '08 1200 Sport (Guzzi Black, of course). I am new to the forum and must say that after two weeks of ownership, one discovery that you CAN reinstall the fuel tip over switch sideways , and a fantastic 600 mile weekend (Southern Spine Raid #12) getting to know my Sport, I highly recommend you take the plunge. Get a service manual, too.
