Hi, My fuel pump is acting funny and i should get one before I get stranded...Anyone would have that ? It's for a 2002 V11 engine (inside the tank pump). PM me, thanx !

i might be the best rider in the world, but he's going to loose the WC to Lorenzo i think. The Michelin shodded Yamaha is the bike to be on, this year: ol' Colin does the pole with 3/10 and eradicates the other riders while Lorenzo, with broken bones and all, makes it to 4th in the race. Michelin definitively has an edge (unless it rains and there Casey is unbelievable...)

The 50 Greatest Comedy Sketches of All Time
jihem replied to Admin Jaap's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
Some of them are just wiiiiild. the Andy Kaufmann "Marijuana" sketch is totally crazy, and you don't know if the sketch just slided out of control, or if it was written as it's presented. In either case, a really funny moment While they mention the show altho it's not appearing in the 50 best ones, imho "Absolutely Fabulous" is missing, and so are "The Young Ones". -

Yeah, now I know why i need more cowbell -
China is on this week-end...And while the Ducati is still the fastest bike in a straight line, the other bikes have filled in the 15 kmh gap there was last year. Top riders in free practise are the usual suspects: Rossi/Stoner and Pedrosa. Lorenzo broke some bones while high-siding heavily (who says these 800MotoGP are just TC mopeds ?) Looks like rain on race day too. If it does, imho, Stoner will win this and watch out for Sylvain Guintoli who may very well push his Pramac satellite Ducati in the Top 5...

Short, sweet and unexpected sun: around County Down
jihem replied to belfastguzzi's topic in Travel & dealers
beautiful ! I love the way the Griso makes its way into all (?) the pictures, very much like Zelig in that famous Woody Allen movie -
nice! I had a bit of a moment when the video started as I didn't know you were from Wales (UK) and i thought at the sight of the first meters: "Noooo, wrong side of the road, he's going to end up in that white truck! Noooooo Noooooo !!!"

i wonder if they didn't mix it all up with the newest Ghezzi-Brian, the Monza (bike of the month) ?
-
I thought this thread was about Business Angels (if there are any on this forum, please PM me, i have a BP proposal ) back to these Angels then, one of them just got sentenced 36 years inside...
-
must be damn hot on that seat The Ghezzi's exhaust system is under-the-seat also, altho the exhausts are using the normal channeling of the two exhausts and then divide it and send it to the left of the bike to end up under the seat. I suspect we may loose a few ponies there, but it sure looks the part.

MCN mucks up again
jihem replied to belfastguzzi's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
Or be totally uncaring about the exactitude of the infos ? Guzzi riders represents such a small fraction of their readers they may not care and think no one will notice. Heck, they already got they facts wrong all the time, why not on this ? (plus the fact that now infos are copy-and-paste from site to site, visordown>crash.net>superbikeplanet>some blog>back to visordown>Bikes>MCN...) -
i'll take a 911 in any color. even brown.

yes, if Marco doesn't get his act soon, he may be shown the exit: Ducati is totally cold blooded with racers that don't perform well no more. And in an interesting twist of events, Max Biaggi and Troy Bayliss might be called in to assess what's wrong with the GP8 as Guareschi (not the one winning on the MGS01, the other one, his brother) is injured. Max is of course ready to help and contacts have already been taken. If he performs well on the Gp8, read better than Marco, he may very well have his ticket back for MotoGP (yes, he's signed for SBK but nothing will stand in the way of an italian champ on an italian bike in MotoGP). This said, Casey is in trouble. The GP8 seems to be problems plagued and i hope they find what's wrong with da beast.

would you know if the ECU set up is the same than on the Stelvio ? And/or the gearing ?
-
oh, i have no doubts it's fasti was just disappointed of its civility. The Centauro i tried a few years ago was much more violent and really grabbing you, this ride seems tamed somehow compare to the previous 4V engine. @paul: they should remap it, if possible, to give it more of a midrange kick, yeah.
-
I tested a Stelvio yesterday. I wanted to try the Griso 4V, but some customer dropped it and it wasn't available. So, i took the Stelvio, to get a feel of the new 4V engine. Altho conditions weren't too good (it was at best damp, most of the time it was raining), it was pleasant indeed altho felt underpowered for a 4V. The engine is torquey and the delivery seems spotless. But i missed the Oooomph of the Centauro I tried a few years ago. Is it the gearing or how they mapped the engine as it seems relatively more tamed to me that the wild bronco the Centauro is ? I agree with Paul, it's rather dull (my 2V engine accelerates way faster than this 4V). Will they use the same mapping on the Griso ?

Hi- fi threads are very much like tyres thread, it really is all down to the listener and the type of audio feedback he likes. -
Isn't that taken from that great UK bike mags called Fast Bikes ?thanx for posting ! I wonder what the Dentist is doing these days...
-
Well Paul, the more proposals to choose from, the best it is for the avid Guzzi rider

V-twin voices, Marshall stacks,

maybe it's their whiteness ? Sly's music also sounds like a Guzzi full throttle. with lots of stops and 10 dollars note bill foiled -

The Cramps sound to me more like an oily, sweaty english vertical twin. They are a T110 that leaks on your pants. Iggy is vicious, while the psychobilly band is more of white trash type. yeah. Love them. And they are on the best label in the world i totally agree. -
yes, it would be silly to throw that sweet engine away ! I guess you're speaking about this kit You should check with Bruno, but i guess it's a bolt on kit for V11 frames, meaning you can keep your 6 speeder. Add one of these Ohlins fork and there you go

I went this way, ported the heads, threw in a Scola race camshaft, race exhausts, pod filters, PCIII it and dyno it, etc...and i wish i had put all that money into tuning the suspension to its best. I see now that there's no point having more power if the handling isn't 100%. imho.
-
I doubt very much there were team orders. Too much different sponsors' money is injected for two teams that in fact barely work together...
-
i think it's hard to pinpoint this one, but the Yamaha definitively look good. So, i would say Lorenzo, Rossi, Pedrosa. If the Ducati makes it to the podium, FEAR will be on the other teams as this is really NOT a Ducati circuit. BTW, there are rumours that if Melandri doesn't perform well, he'll be sacked (I love Ducatis but the management there is cold and without any remorse).
