  2. Well, he's a real character and obviously a star and everyone misses his antics. He's clever and fun and rides probably better than all. But his ego is in the way sometimes. This said, you need that when you're riding at that level of competition.
  3. I'm surprised Shum' did so well: he actually had the reputation of being quite slow last time he tried the 990. This says a lot about the electronics embarked on the Ducati imho...Sure, he has the sense of speed all riders and drivers seem to share, but 5 sec...
  4. imho, he's running amok. He had a terrible year, both on and off the track (60 million

Mc Gregor was totally thrilled, extatic and excited like a kid while visiting the museum and the factory. Even had a blast on a 1200 Sport at the 420 m long factory test circuit.
  6. Hmmm, i doubt Vale will ever do WSBK, altho he likes street bikes. But he'll probably pick up WRC cars instead of superbikes.
  7. Totally agree. Biaggi on a 1098R must be one of Ducati's banker wet dream. Of course, having Rossi on a Ducati (2009) would be his XXX double features

    8v Griso review

white will definitively be the matte black of 2008 !
  9. Giles, any plans to come and ride the Guzzi at the Ducati Club Races in Assen, NL ? I know a few V11 riders did run this year, plan to re-do it probably in 2008 and I'm contemplating enlist there too, altho maybe just for the friday trackday.

    Another New Guzzi

great looking little retro, imho. I hope they make a low price for this one, contrary to the one they fitted on the California Vantage...

    ewan mcgregor

Ewan seems to be really hooked up on Guzzis. I wonder if he'll do the next round of trips on a Stelvio...
  12. thanx Now, i can go around and put them down
  13. Do we know the regulations of the Italian Supertwins ? If i want to impress my Ducati Friends, I need to be sure rules allow real competition

Groeten ! There are a few Belgians up here ! (and I have the same pattern as you as I also had a T3 (Calif) prior to my actual Guzzi).

  17. Ex-cel-lent, Gyles !!!
  18. Just to enlight me, do you mentally insult that elder man (maybe 28?) with a motorbike in the street, tall, blond, blue-eyed, attractive as Robert Redford and your heart melted like snow in the sun everytime the Guzz misses a beat ? Welcome Freya !
  19. i love that Aermacchi/HD in the background. thanx for posting them pictures !

    Ewan MacGregor

Seems like he's talking about the infamous "Sean-Connery-on-a-Guzzi" picture, as seen on the official tshirt.
  21. I actually had a '89 750 Sport, soon followed by a '93 Superlight, but I wanted to change for a more firm and reliable handling as I thought the Ducatis's front were too nervous, at mid to hi speed, for my liking. I had a few really bad tankslappers on the Ghezzi. I had the Paioli checked by a specialist, he very slightly lowered the front and moved up the back Ohlins a few mms, I installed a Ohlins MX steering damper (thaty round dampers they put on motoX bikes) and it's now fixed !

    Moto Guzzi Monza

...most of us are color blind anyway. Now, don't you pick me on the word color (or colour ?)
  23. yessssssss
  24. The Pistols are reforming...30 years later. Gee, is nothing sacred then ?
  25. As far as I'm concerned, the BIG fight between a recovered Rossi/Yamaha/Michelin and Stoner/Ducati/Bridgestone didn't happen in Estoril. Stoner had some clutch issue, and if you look at his times during the race, he wasn't lying. Actually, he lost quite a few 1/10 of sec around lap 5, when the problem started, then had a big dip a few laps later, but later on his times were very close if not parallel to Rossi's and Pedrosa's. I think that he would have fight for the win if the clutch issue didn't come about. Now, let's see what happens in Motegi where Ducati (and the 990) has won for the last two years...
