  3. I got the Kraftwerk "NoteBook" CD/DVD. . it already sounds great on my Quad/KRK system, but it must be totally awesome on a Apogee, sure.

  5. wow wow wow mike
  6. hi you may go on trackdays for several reasons, sure, but one of the benefits will be better confidence in yourself and that surely cannot be bad when riding... one of the aspects you'll learn (more safely on a track than on the open roads) is to resist "survival instincts", these things one tend to do on a bike cos he/she thinks he/she is in danger: corner comes too quickly, bike too leaned over, basic fear, greasy roads, other (mis)users... On a track, you can repeat actions and learn by experience in an environment that is much, much safer than an open road. you can show yourself what leaning angle is ok, or braking later is possible, you can experiment different techniques and aspects of cornering and braking and feel (re)assured on your own possibilities and realize your own limitations and possibilities and discover your limits without too much risk. Self confidence gain from that will see you becoming a much better and assured rider, and if you find yourself in a delicate situation while riding on the open roads, the things learned on the tracks will not be questionned once you need to take a decision quickly, you would have learned it and integrate it while riding the track and that will leave you more attention available for interacting with dangerous situations occuring on the streets. my two euros (after several trackdays and keith code books reading)
  7. ...and one of the saddest thing is when you're told by people-in-the-know that Guisseppe Ghezzi works on the new California engine, and not on some eat-your-rice-rocket sport model. Talk about waste of talent ...
  8. i'm just very, very sad for Bruno and the ppl there, at the GB plant, but it was looming for quite a while

    Good reading

The Keith Code books are very good to get into the nitty gritty of fast and efficient riding.
  10. 6° Celsius. The ghezzi was complaining the ride was too short when I came back from some errands...
  11. sorry for my ignorance, but what's that model green guzzi racer doing in your garage ? ;=)
  12. i had one of those a few years ago. A very underestimate ducati: that bike is wicked fun at work. Especially with Dell Ortos instead of the Weber carb... yummy.
  13. hmmm...I like his riding style tho... this said, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Max announces soon a new contract as he still is a big name in sports and still has the right connections...
  14. i rode a Multistrada, and the engine is brilliant. Had two ducatis prior to my actual bike so you may say i'm biased. but i don't like the Sport Classics much. Especially the horrid exhausts....
  15. 106 ???? At the wheel ?! Naaaaaah...Really ?

    Winter!!

i'm riding all year long, as long as there's no snow, no pouring rain, no freeze on the roads and it's not nightime... I love the smell of gloves being warmed up on the cylinders in the morning
  18. i used to know very well this shop owner and could ride quite an array of its exotic bikes: Norton F1 Sport, RC 30, Ducatis 888 SP5 and all...The first ducati i ever rode was an SP2: he asked me if i wanted to ride it and put some petrol in it. 200 meters later, i wanted to make a U-turn in a small street but no one had told me NEVER do a U-turn on a Ducati Superbike...Of course, I fell, scratched quite badly the fairing, and my ego, but the shop owner was ok with it as the bike was going to be run in SBK championship anyway so the fairing had to go... i let very good, and insured, friends ride my bike, and especially now with the Ghezzi as to spread the word
  19. the auction is done. He didn't get ONE bid at 12.500 UK Pounds...
  20. i actually had a Norton F1 Sport as ride for a week-end. What a weird thing: no torque, just a turbine like effect, no engine brake at all, and a whole lotta smoke. Plus it sounded like a Wartburg
  21. wow. This looks GREAT !
  22. the ad mentions a possible swap, but my Ghezzi STW doesn't interest him... Doh
  23. they are simple, black 3 spoke MG wheels. it has Moto Guzzi embedded on them... the braking system works very well and as one usually doesn't brake in a corner, i don't see the gyroscopic effect of a large diameter disk that much...
  24. someone i know and quite close to the Bologna factory told me rossi is expected to ride the Ducati in 2007 but, let's be honest, there are soooo many rumours right now...
  25. it's official ! first pictures are in. ;-)
