  1. I knew Simon Milward who was leading the way at the FEMA in Brussels. He was absolutely dedicated to his passion and did a great job at stopping the EC to get involved into cutting the balls of motorcycling. He is really missed (he died in 2005 while doing a solo world tour).
  2. The What/Why?Guys need the Twiddlers to pass on the pipe if they want to "get into the vibe" of that Laswell track
  3. totally, it's always exhilirating to read !
  4. amazing ! thanx for posting !
  5. there's more to come from Erik (and probably quite an interesting story why exactly Buell was closed up by HD...) Erik Buell lauches new venture
  6. Thanx CFMAW ! some of these links are awesome !

  8. It's a very 'disintegrated' design, when Terreblanche's best model (undoubtely the 1993 Ducati Supermono) was on the contrary very integrated and rather organic. Here, I do feel the rear wheel is orphan from the rest of the bike, a looooong way behind the frame and the whole bike feels heavy and raw. But good to see Pierre/Piaggio is at least trying.
  9. imho shows that the weird color schemes found on some Ghezzi-Brian were Guisseppe's input
  10. yummy. I would love to try that machine... design has a few clever little details, even tho I'm not crazy about the mid fairing.
  11. I went to try one at the local HD dealer here. Prices weren't very reduced or anything but wanted to try the thing before it becomes impossible... I was lend an XB12 for the demo. Took the bike thru some corners, 5 kms of motorway, downtown, just to get a (really fast) image of the bike. My take on it is: vibrates like hell at low rpm. really badly and not a very satisfying vibration, more one that would do your fillers no good. front fork quite unstable at speed. wouldn't trust it. position is rather mandatory and pushed up at the front. braking is not bad at all but the lonely perimetrical system really makes the bike dive out badly when applied in corners (which sometimes you have to) sounds terrible when legal. warms your leg and ass and got a terrible fan noise when the bike is hot and you just switched off. the good points: should be very fun in the twisties i really liked the injection set up at low rpms, you can really ride the bike on a light throttle engine is fun handling is light and precise (altho i wouldn't trust it at higher speed) Would I get one ? naaa, didn't do it for me.
  12. oh, I'm pretty sure you've heard him or the Rollins Band. He started as a "punk" musician, evolved then to poetry reading and acting. He's quite famous also for his TV program. his famous tatoo:
  13. wow. Soon we'll know how many of us listen to Rage Against The Machine, worship Henry Rollins, play MGMT's hits note by note and wear Snoop Doggy Dog's Long Beach tshirts great tatoo !
  14. Don't do what i did (emphasis on the engine and not on the suspensions) and treat your bike handling first.
  15. I wonder who will jump on MV Agusta. Wouldn't be a blast if Ducati was to buy it back ? thanx Tom, interesting read.
  16. Am I the only one to think the MGS-01 looks great in its Corsa mode and quite terrible when fitted with lights, mirror, indicators ?
  17. thanx Lex, that was fun. I like Yamaha's video approach: they're all fun and don't take themselves too seriously. And JT's acting is equal to his M1 riding ;-)
  18. too bad. Thanx for the info, tho.
  19. Not wanting to slide away from the thread, but does anyone know if there will be the Mandello September days this year ?
  20. Hi, (i'm not selling my blue STW, i'm just helping out a fellow Guzzi rider) There's a 2002 red Ghezzi-Brian Supertwin on sale in the South Of France. It has 17.200 genuine kilometers and is supposely in perfect state (looks like it). It's advertised on Ebay (other pictures there too) email of the seller is jeanne.bayol ( at ) libertysurf.fr Great handling, great look, great sound, quite unique (apparently only 102 GB were build), lighter than a V11...a unique opportunity really.
  21. a movie set in the (near) future with a Guzzi ? wow. was i put on freeze for a while or what ?
  22. jihem
