  1. Hi BBolesaz...I'm just back now visiting here on this side again since I was spending a little time on Wildguzzi, I see you're #599! Good call on the Scuzi license plate as well! Scuzzi...mi Scusi per mi Scuzi!! Guzzistajohn is also on WildGuzzi (great guy, I met him last year in Cedar Vale), have you tried PM'ing him? If you and Scud are inclined to visit JJ and the boys in Cottonwood for the Arizona NAR and then boogie out to Kansas for the Cedar Vale NAR rally, we could host a mini Scura reunion! Nice pic by the way...bike looks like it's in excellent shape indeed! Cheers! Paul

    Brand-new Scura

Well...could have had you over to visit the Scura here!! If your plans bring you to town again, let me know in advance...can make a little Guzzi rendezvous.

    Brand-new Scura

Looks really great I have to say...lots of loving care going into making this look even better than when it came out of the factory! Superb job!

    Brand-new Scura

That looks really good! Powder coated or painted again?
  5. Only if you're in the neighborhood...you know...don't go out of your way to do it! But it would make a good post for Bike of the month for the new banner at WG if I can get Dusty and Luap to agree!! Sir Robin (son) Leach at your service!
  6. Champagne dreams and caviar wishes...another fun project there indeed!! Timing sounds perfect...an engine waiting for a moto and vice versa. Before you sell it, please take a pic at either the glider port overlooking Torrey Pines or at the UCSD Geisel (Central) library! You're having fun we can tell!
  7. There is a Scura being advertised on the MGNOC Facebook page...located back east. Post was from a couple weeks ago.
  8. Item received...Thanks Chuck! Into the spares case it goes...
  9. Overall weight of the flywheel is only one factor in its effect. More importantly is where on the assembly is the weight distributed. Its possible to have a heavier flywheel assembly that has less effect than a lighter one depending on how far from the center the weight is concentrated. Ciao Makes sense indeed...good point! Thanks.

    Brand-new Scura

Thanks Scud...perused that earlier today. Very interesting.
  11. That's interesting...only about a 10% weight savings going from aluminum to steel...will be interesting to hear your feedback after the install if you notice it being more sluggish than before on pickup. By the way, one question for other Scura owners...do you notice when the bike is idling in neutral, is it more rattley than when you pull in the clutch, also in neutral? Thanks...waiting anxiously for the farkles to arrive!

    Brand-new Scura

Great thread Scud documenting all the changes here. Nicely obscured all the small bits! I just read it from beginning to end now that I've got Sophia La Scuzzi in the garage. The Rizoma darker reservoirs look like a great idea...I had to chuckle as well as the first time I saw the transparent ones, the thought of doing a urine sample came to mind as well! Back when I went to UCSD in the early 80's we used to go up to Julian quite a bit - didn't have a moto of my own then...but got to ride a friend's Honda VFR 1000 Interceptor up and down from La Jolla to Del Mar and Solana Beach and back. I miss San Diego indeed...try to go back every couple of years for a visit! One item I'm wondering...has anyone found good replacement grips which are not so bulgy as the stock ones? Is there something in the middle of these grips on the bars which bulges out? I've just put ProGrips on my Norge and they are very comfortable...curious if you or anyone has replaced the grips on the Scura. Also...does anyone have a link to a PDF for the original Owner's Manual for the Scura or a Maintenance Manual? Thanks!
  15. Thanks David and Scud! Going to enjoy it a bunch I'm sure of that!
  16. Just picked up S287 from a board member here last weekend who did a great job prepping it and fixing a ton of items with great attention to detail. Bike rides perfectly, will take a little getting used to the geometry but the first 100 miles have been quite fun so far!! Took a nice drive out from Houston via Louisiana up to Mississippi and came back with this beauty! Meet Sophia La Scura - already keeping my Norge good company in the garage here! Custom plate on order: Scuzzi - a little "play" on words here...I'm sure Scura owners will get it!
