Yes i saw that, looks like it could be interesting. Id be wanting to know if the accident resulted in a claim as id rather straighten the existing frame than fit the spare one that is Cat D. Forks do look bent imho Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Ok Im going to go with the redline vtwin shockproof in the gear box and the redline heavy in the bevel box. Seems thats what mines been run on with no issues im the 6k miles ive had it. Ill watch out for the fill levels! The heavy is GL5 GL6 rated Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Guys im about to change the gearbox and final drive fluids. Previous owner gave me a quart of the Red Line shockproof V twin Transmission oil. I believe thats what he was using. I am assuming its ok to use in both boxes? Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Go onto the mistral website and ask them nicely. A lovely lady replied almost imediately, in english, and mailed over a couple which i placed over my faded ones Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Turned out to be a bent valve caused by the collets failing. Prob due to it being sat for so long. New head turned up today, so hopefully will be back togther soon

Very tempted by this, in my town too!

Just fitted my Mistral Xover. The stocker had a crack which was worsening. Wonder if it will improve the coughing thing. Will ride tomorrow and see! Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Anything goes in London...although theres cameras everywhere so much saner than 20 odd yrs ago when I used to dispatch ride there... Thanks docc for the suggestions. Is there a post anywhere that explains to a newbie all the service tools required to self maintain our V11s? Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Ha you guys.... yes our definition of a heat wave doesnt match yours, but I challenge you to find anywhere in the states as congested as central london. Imagine the heat from every standstill vehicle including trucks, coaches and cars. Its not the same as heat on the move! Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Had to cross London yesterday in sweltering heat, the temp in locked solid heatwave traffic was off the scale. Not ideal for an aircooled ride but the V11 coped. Two issues surfaced...1. Neutral light remained on through all gears (but subsequently dissappeared once bike had cooled) 2. Low RPM popping/caughing became a problem (yes I still havent got round to adjusting valves, I think the heat/expansion exaberates the issue) Anyways the mighty MG got me through it for the second time in 4 days so proves it can cope with some tough situations [emoji41] Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

The VFR is cam driven, usually they are bulletproof. Checked the front pots, cams and buckets looked ok, one inlet valve was below the tolerance by quite a long way, so i may as well correct that, but gut instinct tells me its something more serious

So ha ving changed all fluids, filters, plugs and a carb strip, the bike fired up and after a couple of minutes warming through settled down and I was feelong pretty pleased about things, until it suddenly started making this noise ... https://youtu.be/LFXE4vTE-qM Not sure what it is but something to do with the drivetrain in the front cylinders. Bugger... Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Ha hell No but these did, both were basket cases I picked up and brpugh back to life... Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Mercedes e350 estate... massive boot, i have bought numerous (smaller) motorbikes home in the boot by removing the bikes wheels and sliding in the bike so the forks rest in the rear spare wheel well. Fast and practical

One thing I find fiddly though is the horn switch, its where Im used to finding the indicator switch...a minor annoyance Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

I thjnk as this one is factory original down to the warning stickers and with such low miles ill try to keep it as Honda intended

Totally agree with all the comments. If I were riding behind a V11 Id be super keen to pull up alongside and ask questions. In fact id love to ride another bike behind mine (in trusted hands) to get a sense of what its lile to follow once it hits that 6k speed spot! It belongs in that category of rare, individual and unique bikes that piques attention from anyone who likes motorcycles, regardless of their own preference for cruisers, customs, sports etc... Started detailing and recomissioning it. Underneath 20 odd years of dust and cobwebs its in remarkable condition. New tyres and batteries ordered. Fuel flushed...hoping shell fire up next week, and if so Ill have a mint VFR for less than £700 all in. Fingers crossed! Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Agree, its a good looking machine Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

A bargain I couldnt pass up, its been mothballed since 1995 and only has 3000 miles on the clock! This is it before I gave it a wash and polish. I think it will end up being one of the nicest VFRs out there once sorted. Not bad for a few hundred pounds! Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

I had an Orange Rockerverb for a number of years during my gigging days. Such a nice sounding amp for that classic clean overdriven sound. Goes nocely with my bigsby fender jag Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk

Simple answer - yes. The speed triple feels lighter, more flickable and generally easier to get the most out of its fantastic torquey 3 cylinder motor which in my opinion is one of my favourite road bike engines. The package is perfect for back road heroics. The V11 by comparison doesnt have the same low down torquey grunt (which is odd given its a V twin) of the Triumph, and requires a bit more work on the gearbox to get it really moving fast and staying in the zone. Handling wise the V11 feels rock solid and goes where you point it but doesnt have the same level of flickability. I find that I have to think ahead more with the V11 to set it up for a bend, and I am also more reluctant to pull off cheeky overtakes on the run up to bends which was daily activity on the Triple. However, I think I am more calm and considered on the V11 and can enjoy riding it at more sedate speeds, given I am still recovering from previous accident (not my fault!) thats no bad thing Sent from my SM-G928F using Tapatalk
