  1. Kukko bearing extractors. Not as senile as I thought !!
  2. There's an internal bearing puller that I've used on Airheads. Think of something like a concrete anchor bolt with a frame around it. You insert the expanding part into the bearing center hole, fit the frame, then crank the bolt to withdraw the bearing. Can't think of the German brand name right now, will have to remember to look this evening.
  3. Got my shirt. Yes, some of the colors didn't match the 1st attempt above. But, it's a shirt.
  4. AFAIK (from Beemer experience, not Guzzi), the caged side goes towards the button. The roller side towards the clutch. Based on the clutch is spinning, and the button and rod are not supposed to.
  5. Got to see that 2005 event. Truth be told, being a Texan, I was rooting for Colin.
  6. Hmm. The website is short on details. I brought up the RAM unit in google and the images looked similar to me, but no experts here. If they answer me, I'll ask for more details.
  7. I tried to check it out, but their stupid website wanted registration before it would show prices and for some reason, it never sent the registration email. Like I said above, I think it is the RAM clutch, Valpolini seems to be a parts house.
  8. Looks like the mythical RAM single plate 6-speed clutch is still available from Italy !
  9. It will take them a while to list the Sport version on their website. But since they have the digitized root picture, and I had them break it down such that you can specify colors for each of the pieces that had different colors, you should be able to contact them and get what ever you want. As for the green, the bright green is way off. Bring up their thread colors and a picture of a greenie on the same screen and compare. Yes, green acid is yellower than on the bike, but it is the closest. And yes, the fork lowers should be silver and not gold and my wires aren't red, but it's a shirt. My bike is re-painted and doesn't match the stock photo above exactly. But it's a shirt. And also yes, full Scura treatment would be cool, but you'll notice that they generate outline detail by using one stitch width of black over the other colors. If it was all Scura, it would simply be a silhouette.
  10. Got the Scura rendered in threads proposal from the shirt guys. The tires will be flat black in the final version. Get it done in "Green Acid" thread color if you want a greenie.
  11. You don't need (or want) measurements from the seal. Measure the OD of the piston. That's the ID of the seal Measure the depth of the gap in the cylinder the ring sits in. That, plus the piston OD is the OD of the seal. Measure the height of the gap. That is the height of the seal. I thought I read that the piston was 30mm OD. I checked and a lot of single pot brakes are also 30mm pistons. Lots of seals for brakes available, one of them likely to match this application.
  12. I have custom embroidered shirts made for nearly every motorcycle I've owned. I use a company called "Autumn Riders". https://www.autumnriders.com/ When I checked their site, they already had a V11 Le Mans digitized in Red, Red/Black and Nero Corsa colors. They also will do custom colors that you can select yourself. Since they didn't have one, I sent them this pix of a Sport Scura. They are currently digitizing this image. They should be able to modify this image changing any of the sections colors. Refer to the Le Mans graphic selection for similar options. Here's what the embroidered image looks like for the Nero Corsa Le Mans. For the Le Mans, the 4 color regions are - 1. Fairing, cowl under seat, front fender 2. Gas Tank and Passenger seat cover 3. Engine valve cover 4. Footrest bracket - Porkchop This isn't enough options to get to most V11 color combinations, but I assume if you sent a decent picture, they could easily modify either their Le Mans or my Scura image to match what you have. They even have a "Green Acid" color that's close to you Greenies. Disclosure - I have no financial relationship to this company, I just really like their shirts. I'll post a pix of my Scura shirt when it's done.
  13. Hmm. Just typed "30mm brake piston" into Google and came up with a bunch of seals.
  14. Anybody know of a brake caliper with same sized piston. (Likely a single pot caliper from the 80's 90's) If you can find one, preferably a popular bike, you should be able to get that O ring.

    V11 Retro LeMans

WOW. Impressive. I'd love to have those spoke wheels !
  16. 2mm piston diameter difference might change the feel of the lever somewhat. More importantly would be if a different piston would engage the spin bearing correctly.
  17. The clutch has a spring to keep the clutch push rod up against the bearings. Otherwise it will rattle around. On brakes, you want the piston to pull back into the cylinder a bit so the brakes don't drag. My GL1200 hydraulic clutch was just like the V11. My R100GS manual clutch implemented the spring on the clutch push rod lever.
  18. Aren't we comparing cylinders from 2 different Guzzi models? I would assume that identical O-rings would have the same part number.
  19. Check the O-ring part numbers
  20. Interesting that a guy who is old enough for a butt scope is buying a bike targeted towards the man-bun crowd. Must be a second childhood thing. Gotta admit, I like the new BMW R9T Urban G/S a lot. And I'm about due for my 2nd scope.
  21. I went down this rabbit hole a couple of years ago. Since I also have multiple computers and travel, I decided to buy a Dropbox account. I host my own pictures which link to forums very easily, all of my stuff is available to me what ever computer or cell phone I'm on and there's no ads or fluff. It does cost me $120/yr however.
  22. "Hinge Eyes" is the magic keyword. Found the Bansback catalog here - http://www.bansbach.com/images/bansbach/Download/Bansbach_Catalogue_2017.pdf Even easier than re-tapping the threads is this, a 10mm x 1.5mm banjo bolt. http://www.amazon.com/1-Racing-Products-992033-Metric/dp/B003TPJ85Q

    Nero Cafe

Wouldn't it be nice if I could add a Nero Corsa to the fleet? Then, I would have the Scura as the summer bike and the Nero as the winter bike. Hey, where's those lottery tickets?

There are a lot prettier headlight ears out there for sale, but other than that, I kinda like it.
  25. I did have floorboards on my GL1200. They were hinged on the frame mount and would pivot up. My riding friends would laugh as I cornered, because the floorboards would touch and ride along the pavement as I cornered and grind. After a while, I noticed that my pants had cuts in them near the ankles. I had ground the floorboards so much that they ground down to a knife edge on the outside and would cut my pants when I put my feet down.
