There were 3 (Three!) V11 Lemans at the Number Two Show on Saturday. I haven't ever seen three LeMans (or V11 Sports for that case) in one place before!

I didn't think you actually owned a car.

Are we talking about cars again? Did I mention my new project? So I traded my Corvette. It had 130k miles and was worn out. I had it for 17 years so it was time to go and besides, the family didn't fit in it. I managed to trade it for a 1967 Mustang convertible. Although the Mustang is going to be a lot of work in the end I'll come out ahead. So far I've managed to pull the engine (and sold it) and get a welder. Both necessary steps. I will be replacing a bit of rusty metal but I do like learning... the hard way.

I'll be at The One Show that weekend. Surprisingly there is usually a couple Guzzis there.

Having lived in Tacoma (near Seattle) and Portland I can attest that the weather is significantly different. Portland is much warmer and somewhat dryer. That video was shot a while ago and during the summer. Don’t tell anyone else but we have some of the best summers in the US. Shhhhhh!

If there’s one thing I don’t do is hide. I’ve been on YouTube for 12 years and countless videos. Very few of them flattering. At least the bikes make me look cooler than I am.

Guilty. Yeah, those are my drone shots. If you watch enough of Mike’s channel you’ll see me more often than not. There’s a whole series (playlist) on my Norton engine rebuild. He has a video coming out in a couple weeks that we shot today. Very fascinating no matter what bike you ride!

I think I found the source of the dripping. Some bonehead didn’t tighten down the drain plug after taking a bunch of stuff apart. I’ll check it tomorrow to see if that was it. With snow in the forecast it’s all immaterial at this point.

It looks like Rick will be shutting down the shop at some point. I'll get an exact date when I can.

If you want a Greenie, just be patient. Something will turn up. -

Uh, it's more like you guys tolerate me. -
Google doesn't check, it relies on users to update. They were closed a year ago and no one updated Google. Just how far out west are you? If you say Aloha I'm not going to feel sorry for you.

No, the Portland Guzzi dealer is still open. At least that's the last I had heard. Being in the local Guzzi club I probably would have heard. They did close for a little bit when they had a spat with Aprillia. Considering that they are one of the top dealers in the US somehow Aprillia managed to pull their head from their rectum long enough to realize it. https://www.motoguzziportland.com They aren't open on Sunday in case that's when you called. Also the Google thing isn't always accurate.

The correct answer is fly and ride. Otherwise just stay vigilant and the right greenie will turn up. Patience is the key. I thought estate sales were posthumous? Maybe wait a little longer and Larry will keel over? -
Crap. Look at that price. I would get it in a heartbeat if I had the space.

So @FuelCooler didn't go for it? -
I assume the sump is now also an oil cooler?
-
You'd be surprised at how well they can work unless you don't wear gloves. While you may never need them in most places in SoCA you might find yourself in the mountains on a long ride and will find them useful.

I assumed that the spine had an overflow and that's where the oil was coming from. Sounds like I actually need to look closer. Went out for a ride on Saturday with the Norton club, so I can't actually remember the last time I rode the Guzzi. Riding season is quickly coming to a close. It was 29F this morning.

Yes, one on each side of the plate.
-
Ok, some many more of a drip than a puke. After I installed the Roper Plate and refilled the engine with oil I think I have done it wrong. I check the oil level when the bike was upright on the bench. I suspect that you are suppose to check it when it's on the side stand. I assume the oil is coming from the breather? I've never dug into the breather system.

I assume you've read the threads? Do you need one? Think of it as very cheap insurance. In typical riding you may never have the need but at the wrong time in the wrong place it might save your engine.
