  1. Scura? It’s just a Cafe Sport.
  2. 30? So a young one?
  3. That’s to you guys and others I’m keeping a wish list going. Another bike popped up. Norton Commando that was taken apart to get the frame painted. It’s nickel now (not holding up good) and the owner passed away. Friend of mine has it but I know she’ll never get to it. Of course I’m just now getting my Commando together after an engine rebuild. I’m leaning towards a rideable bike as I always have project bikes.
  4. There’s another bike out there for almost nothing, a yellow Allazzura. Not running. $1500. I had one before and never could get it running.
  5. I didn’t think the earlier bikes were susceptible to the spring issue. What was the factory recall for? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Well, what could it be?
  7. If another yellow ST2 comes up I may get it. i talked to a friend of mine who’s had both said the maintenance on the Grand Canyon was a nightmare. He had over 100k on it so he’d know. You have to almost disassemble the bike to get at anything. I’m still working on another friend to pry a bike from him he’ll never ride.
  8. Putting Ti fasteners on a Guzzi to save weight is like having a Diet Coke and Rum.
  9. https://boise.craigslist.org/mcy/d/boise-2000-moto-guzzi/6922424240.html $2000 Shift fork broken? Does that mean it did get the recall?
  10. That’s a lot of bike for the money. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. We have yet another development in this process. And it hopefully will be even better than anticipated. Thank you for your patience.
  12. Thanks for the links. BMW? No thank you. The Trophy looks the most interesting.
  13. Only if you are going into the same metal. SS to SS and you better get your anti seize out as it has a higher risk. I don't think there is an SS on a V11 Sport. https://www.fastenal.com/en/72/galling
  14. That’s not a bad price if it’s decent quality SS. Check with them to see if they have other sets.
  15. Just not interested in a cruiser, at least not now. If I did it would be a Harley, not because I like them but because I'd want the most authentic (and probably uncomfortable) cruiser ever made. I have been eyeing some Hinckley Triples. https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1218133585033809/
  16. I apologize for the delays. Luckily I haven't committed to a delivery date yet. I've been busy with the sale of my 850-T (which should finally go out the door tomorrow) and now I'm scheming on buying something else. I had planned on using the bike funds to front the plates so we'll see how things go. I've also been spending a lot of time on my much neglected (and let's be honest, highly abused) Norton.
  17. Without a doubt, but with all things there's a cost/value question. The question would be what else could I spend the $700+ on as the stock pump probably won't fail. So it comes down to your priorities and funding levels.
  18. Raped? Does supply and demand go out the window just because it's a vehicle? We blame the dealers? If the cars (or bikes) don't sell because of dealer markup then they will lower the markup. They aren't in the business of running a parking lot.
  19. Noted although I'm still way too young for a cruiser. Sport Touring for me at the least. But what I'm more concerned about is the lack of time I have to actually get out of the house for long rides. I'm having lunch with a friend today. I may try to talk him out of one of his bikes. Stay tuned. If I get the one I want from him y'all will be pleasantly surprised.
  20. That’s right where I’ve seen most ST3s priced. i didn’t want to be too prescriptive with what I’m looking for so I didn’t limit people. You know I have a Greenie so pretty much the the epitome of good taste and humbleness. Other than the price point I wanted to be open. The odds of a Japanese bike catching my fancy is low but you never know, maybe someone has an RC30 they want to get rid of badly.
  21. ST3s are a bit out of my price range unless you're highly motivated. If I was smart I would stick with the 2v Ducatis unless you convince me otherwise. My next door neighbor has a beautiful ST3. I think I've seen him ride in once in 6 years. If that thing has 1000 miles on it I'd be shocked. Maybe he rode it more in the past?
  22. Did I mention my budget is around $2500? Which is ST2 or Grand Canyon range.
  23. So I sold my 850-T, it's still here as the wire transfer finally cleared after a couple weeks. I expect it to vacate the garage shortly and be on it's way to Australia. As all of you know I now have to get another bike. If you just leave that lump in your account it magically withers away and you have not much to show for it. I don't need another V11 Sport. But I do need something interesting. I spotted a yellow Ducati ST2 on Craigslist but it sold before I got my money from the other bike. Do I need a ST2? Not really. But a Ducati for $2500 is a lot of bike for the money. There's a Cagiva Grand Canyon about 6 hrs away. Really nice looking bike. But I really don't need a SUV bike. I'd never go off road. But I guess that's like most SUVs... I could get a Monster but that's a little too close to a V11 Sport. I could try to hold onto the money and when I sell another bike (the Ducati 860GT is next up) take a run at trying to get a 1977 Lemans MkI project I know about. What would you do?
