  1. The first thing you have to worry about is fake regulators. So just be careful on eBay. If you're in Norway I guess you're use to having a hard time getting parts? I'm currently leaning towards a Electosport ESR550 which is the MOSFET style although you'd have to put new connectors in (looking at the pictures I think you're already in line for that) and you'll lose your charging light on the dash (unless you hack something) or put a voltmeter on the bike.
  2. I don't think you need to remove the paint or damaged clear coat to wrap the tank.
  3. Decorations and costumes are fine. Daughter is distraught because she was insisting that I get them down. It was when I was moving the bike around after my task that the incident occurred. I made a wee bit of noise as I knew I did something really bad, especially after the wife glanced at it and nearly puked.
  4. Seriously, I was in flip flops. Ironically I’m relegated to slides now. https://m.dickssportinggoods.com/p/nike-mens-ultra-comfort-slides-18nikaltrcmfrtsldsld/18nikaltrcmfrtsldsld?recid=Product_PageElement_product_rr_1_7622_&rrec=true
  5. Clearly half the foot is missing, a simple toenail wouldnt warrant an internet post surely. Ciao I’ve posted on the internet after a really big poop so going to the ER clearly makes the cut. Now I need to drain the gas as there will be no riding for a long while. I need to clean up the pool of blood on the garage floor and at that time I’ll make sure the sidstand is ok, for docc’s sake.
  6. I was moving the bike around in the garage and it managed to take a body part when my toenail hit the kickstand. Was moving the bike around so I could get to the Halloween decorations which the wife and kid insisted I get down at midnight last night. No riding for a while. Which is fine as it’s not really riding season. Hopefully I’ll be good by next spring or I have the Norton going because at least it shifts on the proper side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You might not want it locked down solid. What is going to take the bumps?
  8. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20561&hl= I found a footpeg bracket for you. Might be easier to sell with footpegs.
  9. Which of these wires is the voltage reference one? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. The drop from the relay and the regulator pushes juice to the battery might be manageable enough. Kiwi Roy should be along at some point to correct me.
  11. Couldn't you put a relay in the power line going from the regulator to the battery?
  12. Yep, it takes about 3-4 weeks for my newly installed ESR515 to drain the battery. DAMHIK. But if you put a relay in that circuit it won't, right?
  13. Did you pull a dedicated power wire all the way to the headlight?
  14. Mate, New Zealand is a different country than Australia, if you are talking about that Dec 2016 shipment. Kiwis are a bit sensitive about the distinction. I hope you realize the rest of the world thinks that New Zealand is an Australian state...
  15. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C57J8RC/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B07C57J8RC&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_p=f52e26da-1287-4616-824b-efc564ff75a4&pf_rd_r=H1S1N81QSZPW2SMR2WWP&pd_rd_wg=m1bhV&pf_rd_s=desktop-dp-sims&pf_rd_t=40701&pd_rd_w=tCszs&pf_rd_i=desktop-dp-sims&pd_rd_r=a7c590c4-c858-11e8-ba73-1b9f73faa6e7 I’d be nervous with an exposed positive terminal block. There are some with covers.
  16. I think I misread this and assumed the Ducati Energia was the stock regulator for the V11 Sport. It is not, correct?
  17. Apparently I’m not the first person with this problem. https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18952
  18. It was one of the first things I ripped off my bike when I got it home.
  19. Believe me they are sturdy enought to hold more than 2 lbs. Maybe that figure is more to do with Guzzi covering it arse with regard to weight balance and distribution and directional stability of the bike than the actual load bearing capacity of the rack. They are by far the best quality and niceset looking rack I've seen for a V11 and are a great hand hold for a pillion. Ciao Can you change your avatar. Green bike with rack looks to similar. Also joking about the rack thing.
  20. So you started with the relays in the bucket and then moved them under the tank?
  21. Is there a diagram of where best to put the relay? I'm searching now through the archives and have found some. Do you know which one you used?
  22. I think they are rare because everyone threw them away when they found out they could only hold 2 lbs...
  23. I didn't have any problems getting info from Electrosport. He was very forthcoming with the regulator types. I wish their website was more clear. As I said before the plug and play model is Shunt (SCR) and but they also have MOSFET ones too (DYI wiring). If the original regulator is series do they fail or are they just outputting (in my case) the wrong voltage because of the reference voltage? Does the reference voltage to series regulators draw any amperage when off? Would a relay help here? 24. That just means dealer support will now be on par with Moto Guzzi...
  25. Incorrect assumption. I want you to get that one, try it out, then come to my house and install one for me. I don't care about the charge light. A gauge would be better. I liked having the Speedhut volt-meter that I added to my LeMans (along with oil pressure gauge). You pay the airfare and I’ll come down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
