I got mine and gave it to my friend. It went to a very good home!

We kind of need a Greenie meet up in the Portland area.
-
I got my plate today. It's actually for a friend of mine as I already have one. Thanks again to @DucatiGuzziIndian!

Sorry if this is popping up in your feed. I went back and fixed some of the missing pictures. Also because I wanted to revisit the trip.

I never got an email.

Email sent Wanted to put Rusty Star Picket Plate in the Subject line but I (for once) followed instructions.

We got mail yesterday before the ice came in. And yes, we were surprised. Temps are rising here so the ice is melting, so now we will have to deal with... flooding.

A note that the Pacific Northwest (Oregon and Washington) have had some severe weather (snow and now ice) so may be extremely difficult for @DucatiGuzziIndian to ship anything. I'm not sure what it's like in Seattle but our roads in Oregon are lovely sheets of solid ice. Because of high winds a few days ago many, many people are out of power. And this is the first time we've been above freezing (0C, 32F) since last week.

Right now I'm guessing after Christmas?

Sourcing Allen Screws for Dashboard and Tank Filler
swooshdave replied to Kristian's topic in 24/7 V11
I'm not sure what it's like in Norway but where I'm at I have a couple local stores that carry a wide variety of hardware. But the best way is to take the screw off and measure it. I have noticed that many of the stainless steel screws on the bike are very soft. As in the screw would fail before the aluminum would. -
I'm glad you *think* it will be quiet around here...

I guess "Stick this up yer arse you thieving Pommy scumbags!" was too long?

Pretty sure Pete said something about some Pommies…

I think somewhere is a video of a Vincent he put a Ducati belt drive engine into. Bolt in. Pretty bonkers. F'n fast too. -
Yeah, for some of us with vintage bikes that seems brand new.
-
To be honest that bike is only a couple years old. How do your Ducatis look? I assume the same.

Who is that devilishly handsome stud on the Interstate... -
There is always a risk in buying parts unseen. Given the successful track record of this particular part I'd say the risk is low. But then again the risk of oil starvation is also low but not that low...

It's ok to have an open and adult conversation with questions and concerns. Aside from myself I assume everyone here is an adult. Given that @DucatiGuzziIndian is working with the same file as @Pressureangle there should be zero concern about fit (barring some catastrophic manufacturing error, like inches for metric) and assuming the basic QA is done (best case is fitting one of the new production items up to a bike). And yes, it's should always be acknowledged that people are investing THEIR time and money to provide a service to the community. Unlike me who just instigates things like this. :-) And lastly, anytime to use the term "Rusty Star Picket" in a sentence is a win in my book!
-
Fit and quality isn't a big concern. I'm also not that worried about them running off with everyone's $100 bill, even if they are new around here.
-
I was just putting in a placeholder for a friend. I'll let him reserve for himself. But it's a definite yes.

I hate to say it but I'm a little burned out on the show. But I've also gone to everyone of them (except the first) and even had a bike in the show once. That being said it's definitely worth going to once. Or twice. @Joe I hope you subscribed to that channel. Some awesome content there. Aside from the fact that I'm in several of the videos. -
@Pressureangle Any updates?
-
I'm guessing Wild Guzzi.

People don't really fathom how much snow there can be at the higher elevations. Mountain snow is typically measured in feet, not inches.
