As you know I already tuned the bike. And the Mistrals definitely improved the performance but after riding James’s bike there seems to be more potential out there.

There are a few bikes out there. The most intriguing one so far in Cincinnati which isn’t too far. Hopefully there will be a V11 Sport at the Virginia Rally for my brother to sit on.

Went and visited Jim and his beautiful V11 Sport. I even took it around the block. With no bar end weights it's a little buzzy but it's got way more pep than my bike. I think it has a Power Commander, maybe that makes a difference? The FBF mufflers don't hurt either. It's such a sweet bike.

Next step was to dig through the spare parts that came with the 850-T and bingo, the original bolts! And guess what? Yup. Perfect size! No washer but some loctite and it will be good for now. That is very generous. Before you do that can you tell me the dimensions of the bolt? I can’t exactly take out the other one to measure it. If I can’t readily find one locally I’ll take you up on your offer.

No frame flex that I could tell. There is a tiny bit of vibration but let’s be real, it’s a Guzzi.

That one was discussed on WG recently. Consensus is that it's a 2002 Red-Grey LeMans that somehow got a Nero Corsa tank and tail. I got confused by the Lemans side panel. This is one reason to stay away from eBay for bikes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

We’re about a year apart so not that little. I think the first bike we got together was a BSA 441. Ironically in the deal for the GS he’ll get theBSA back too. So we got into the bikes together. It’s like a support group gone all wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok, it sounds like my brother has to have a V11Sport now. Apparently I’ve been gushing too much. He doesn’t know exactly which one but I want him to get something like a Lemans. Anyone on the east coast (mid-Atlantic specifically) been thinking about giving up one of their babies? He’s going to soon come into a 95 R1100GS that could be used to trade or he can easily sell it. I’ll be on the east coast starting next week so I’m happy to enable this Guzzi itch of his.
