  1. They are questionable in the photos but quite striking in person. I had the same thoughts until I saw it in flesh. It’s also hard to get a V11 Sport to look good in pictures. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I suspect the Centauro is more of an acquired taste that the V11 Sport.
  3. The real answer is to find one and ride it. You’ll know immediately if it’s the bike for you. Hmm, but then again you bought a ‘Busa... interestingly enough it stole the tail section from a V11 Sport.
  4. Not kicking it harder just being more positive. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Do we have a poll somewhere so we can actually track the transmission crack? I bet even with this enthusiastic small sample size it’s less than 2%. As for the red frames being shorter and quicker turning let’s be real, the dimensional difference is minuscule and none of them like tight corners. But if there’s one thing they all have is they make you want to ride them when you aren’t. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Adding the photo is messed up. If you look really carefully there is a “Done” button. It’s super hard to see but if you just mash around you’ll hit it there’s nothing else down there to hit. It threw me off today too. I’ll try to get to one of the Portland meetings this year. I shouldn’t be hard to spot. Say howdy when you do.
  7. False neutrals are caused by pussyfooting around. Shift like a proper Guzzi owner, firm and decisive.
  8. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180609/251c767c07d198b021b6b2855c9e52c0.heic As I mentioned I needed a proper exhaust clamp as only one was provided. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F302700425206 I’ll hopefully fit these tonight. We’ll see, it’s been a long week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. After all these years there are very few issues that haven't been identified and all the ones that have been identified seem to have solutions. But it takes enthusiastic owners to enable the resolution of issues and there are no shortage of knowledgeable and talented owners in the V11 Sport community. I would just pick the model that fancies you the most, buy it, ride it and fix known issues as you see fit. There is enough information here to guide you along. They certainly have made my experience nothing but enjoyable and less stressful as I know what could potentially go wrong and how to fix it. It's the unknown problems that would make an ownership less fun.
  10. So do I need to remap for the new mufflers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. A question.....I've seen many images of American country towns and it seem usual to lack awnings out the front of the stores. Just wondering why?It seems to make them feel a little bleak and lacking character. Is there a reason for this? I love a country town with old stores with awnings. Add hitching posts and horse drinking troughs and, well perfect. Most Aussie country town have awnings but it doesnt necessarily mean it will have a nice feel. Sometimes our towns have the awnings but too wide a main street and loose the intimate feel. Ciao An interesting observation. It really depends on where it is as too how necessary an awning is. There are many factors such as winter snow load, amount of rain, amount of sun and even if there is a local awning person. But it’s certainly not universal. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  13. That side reflector... on the front wheel... take that off and store it away.
  14. Except I didn’t like the options that were out there aside from the classic options.
  15. I finally got it out for a ride tonight. Sunset isn’t until 9pm at this time of year here. Oh where was I?... F*€£ yeah, these sound incredible! Nice and deep but not gaudy. There use to be a flat spot between 4-5k and that’s better now. Not sharp like an open exhaust and not too loud at cruising speed. Just right. Not sure if I’ll need a new map but it sure is fun now. It might be one of my favorite exhaust noises, beaten out only by a Bevel and some Contis. So much fun!
  16. Untitled by swooshdave, on Flickr Getting closer. Gave some tugs on the footrest bracket and then flipped the bracket. Tightened everything down. Looks a lot better. It's really hard to get a dead ahead shot when the bike is leaning and trying to line up the lens. The right side looks a little higher in the picture but I'm not sure if it actually is. Untitled by swooshdave, on Flickr Untitled by swooshdave, on Flickr If anyone has some Mistrals installed could you let me know which way you have your brackets?
  17. I would have thought the left side needed to move much more than that. Careful observers will notice that the left side muffler bracket is on the inside and the right one is on the outside.
  18. Your passenger pegs are different? I’m afraid to look for a crack on the frame.
  19. Can someone measure their bike and let me know what these distances should be? IMG_1633 by swooshdave, on Flickr IMG_1633 by swooshdave, on Flickr I assume the right side has to compensate for the driveshaft, etc. so they may not be the same. My left side footrest hanger is definitely pushed in. I just don't know how much to pull it out.
  20. IMG_1633 by swooshdave, on Flickr I didn't realize the stock clamps are spot welded to the mufflers. Which does make it handy but there was only on clamp with the Mistrals. Two new clamps on order...
  21. I need to make sure the rear hangers are in the right place first.
  22. Oh, it's a horrible fit. Some of it's the angle but the left side is still pushed in from my crash last year. I had pulled the passenger footpeg out but I was afraid I was going to snap the casting so I only did it a little bit. I'll post some better pictures soon as get some advice on how they can be better.
