  1. The reason to use that bike is to show off the heads. :-)
  2. As long as there are still springs available it's a definite yes!
  3. Yes, vintage only but some trials allow modern bikes as a support class, no scoring. Honestly a modern bike would be bored with these sections. I’m not sure which ones they wanted to have the beginners avoid. The one I stalled on was pretty nasty, you had to come down a really steep section in full control and if you came off it wasn’t going to be pretty. In many ways the trails between sections were more challenging. So much so that you would be worn out before you even got to the scored traps. I only ride a couple trials a year now so I’m pretty sore, a lot of standing and muscling that Bultaco around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Well shoot, you're right. What is the prefix on an EV or V11 (non-Sport)?
  6. I’m not sure what you plan on doing with the bike but it will be worth a bunch less with a non-matching engine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Can't you fix the crank and rods for less than a different engine?
  8. Like they said, cam and head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Sounds more like a Wades the problem, not the clutch.
  10. Wow. Luckily I don't have a passport. Or any liquid cash.
  11. I'm not far behind. I think the real problem is that we don't want to throw away the old stuff even after it's worn out because we know how much we paid for it (a lot!).
  12. Thanks, Laurent.. I've been looking for a right one since I got the Mighty Scura several years ago. Pete binned it on the way from picking it up at MPH to SoCal, and beat it up pretty badly. From the pix, yours are better than my "good" one. Sometimes, patience *is * it's own reward. You're welcome.
  13. I bet it would sell faster with decent photos. Unless they show too many blemishes.
  14. Yes! I'm waiting patiently for the Mistrals. They are apparently tucked away in a Norwegian cabin no doubt surrounded by protective reindeer.
  15. So it’s got extra stuffing? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. That was on Craigslist for longer than I can remember. Customized (and maybe from a crash). I'll pass (again).
  18. I saw that on Facebook and was wondering how long it would take to show up here.
  19. Totally agree. Although I've had a Darmah lust for a while. The poor 860GT is a stripped down 900SS so any parts they share have 900SS prices. The 860GTs seem to be on the rise price-wise so that's good (sadly just because they are worth more as 900SS parts).
  20. That's what you feel like you get when you are standing at the parts counter.. Sadly there are no places you can buy parts over the counter for these old bikes.
  21. No hammers are required for Ducatis. Gloves are to protect the bike, not me...
  22. It's a shame they don't bring any money. And silver with a dash of red! Meraviglioso! Orange! Actually I don’t know what color the Marzocchis use to be... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. That is a cool fairing. What is it?
  24. It's a shame they don't bring any money.
