  1. To confirm you had loosened the TPS to test it? It’s very sensitive when you retighten it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It would be interesting to see if these would work. About the same vintage. https://store.bevelheaven.com/Carb-Fuel-Related-etc/Electric-Fuel-Pump-Monster-SuperSport-ST-Superbike-etc/ https://store.bevelheaven.com/Carb-Fuel-Related-etc/Electric-Fuel-Pump-851-888-907ie/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Wheels are heavy. Plus you don't want them banged up so packaging is important. If the wheels are only worth $200 then I can see the consternation. If they are $2000 it's probably worth it.
  4. Making a drink is always the answer. What's the question?
  5. Normally I wouldn't consider venting the headlight but in your case... Why on high so much?
  6. The most likely suspect for anything leaking is too much pressure inside, failed seals or cracks. You can also have loose screws but liquid gaskets rarely fail.
  7. What is that black bar coming from the master cylinder?
  8. Chuck might chime in on this but I believe to hit a tighter tolerance on the angle of a spring is probably a matter of making a crapload of springs and throwing away those out of spec. You can imagine what that does to the cost. Or they have a crappy machine or the have a decent machine and don’t know how to use it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Yes, checked, clear. You have mail:) Excellent, but if I would do that, I would: - Weld the crack as well - Install the transmission bracket as well, but that is rather intrusive as my early black frame does not have the connecting plate, I would have to get that made/welded to the frame as well. For now that is not an option in the timeframe. Depending on the price, Rolf's transmission change-out can be. How about stop leak fluids? Any experience or do/don'ts? I believe stop leak additives are meant to swell rubber seals not gaskets. If you're just looking at a temporary fix and possibly a replacement then it can't hurt but don't be surprised if it doesn't work.
  10. The water-cooled Thruxton is a decent piece of kit. It's a little bit lighter and has more horses than the V11 so I'd expect it to do a good job. It is almost 20 years newer so there's that. Too be honest I wasn't giving the older Thruxton all the beans.
  11. Um, who wouldn’t? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I can’t see the tach but since he got it up to 90 I’m assuming he found the cam. The Thruxton just couldn’t keep up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I’ve ridden his Thruxton before. It’s narrower, feels lighter although it’s not by much. The brake doesn’t compare to the massive brakes on the V11. Handling is not bad (I went from a 2009 Bonneville to the V11 so have a good reference). The Thruxton handlebars are way shorter and the rearsets are actually further back (tank is a bit shorter). And you sit higher. Engine-wise the Thruxton is really smooth up to about 5k, then gets buzzy. And it really doesn’t feel faster the higher you rev it. My V11 always has a little vibration but I’m use to it. But from 5-8k the V11 is a hoot. What else can I tell you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. To drag up this old thread and to confirm the flow:
  15. Any idea of how they "opened" up the exhaust?
  16. Nothing like someone's first ride on a V11 Sport!
  17. You don't think they could wash it before taking pictures?
  18. Any chance you have pictures or even video of the exhaust?
  19. 100k Ks? Dang. Add says 100km. You might want to change that.
  20. Alrighty, anyone have any leads on a V11 Lemans or similar on the East Coast?
  21. Um, let me be the first one to say "Holy ^%$#%^&*^%balls". That thing is awesome!
  22. This is the internet, feedback on any subject, requested or not is par for the course. Ignore any noise you don't like. I can't wait to see pictures of the Centauro!
  23. I'll play. Ok, if you are talking about the Centauro .. I'll throw a dart and say around 6500 if it's truly nice. Maybe 7500 from someone that really *wants* it. You don't see many of the sport version. The Scura with original clutch..4500 if he's lucky. That is a very clean looking Scura, $5k doesn't sound unreasonable, even with the possible flywheel issue.
  24. Pictures! If only to keep us more entertained with your adventures.
