  1. Well, in comparison a dry BMW GS1200 weighs less than a V11 Sport...
  2. I say 16mm boss. But that might not be the whole story.
  3. Notice they didn't mention the finished weight of the custom bike...
  4. And those gloves won't do shit in a crash. not only will the leather disintegrate they may fly off. Note do they have any padding or protection. I like my hands too much to go cheap with the gloves.
  5. I have none of those.
  6. He's a little more than just "down the road", it's more like 100 miles.
  7. Has anyone actually raced one of these?
  8. I didn't know there was a difference.
  9. No. Are you asking if it was me? Because you should know this whole f'n forum would have Scura pictures plastered all over it with my smug mug adorning each and every one of them...
  10. I have a can but I've never used it. Was going to paint a spare tank for the Norton and wanted to seal the paint to protect against gas spills.
  11. The new owner of the Scura found out that the bike doesn't mix well with his bad knee so it will be back on the market soon.
  12. Motorcycles are not as popular in the southeast US for a variety of reasons including some brutally hot and humid summers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I assume you've never been over here? It's a BIG place.
  14. Someone bought the Scura. He posted on the V11 Sport Facebook group.
  15. I’d also be looking really hard at my side stand switch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. From what I've read so far the cam isn't the problem to making more juice, it's the heads. So just slapping a cam in without reflowing the heads is going to get you very little to no advantage. Which isn't dissimilar to many sporty engines of any flavor, they are usually pretty well designed from the get go and additional power is usually expensive to find. If it was just a cam swap then everyone would be doing it.
  17. As I always say (or maybe I'm just making this up for the first time) "If a Kiwi can't sort it out it wasn't meant to be sorted out."
  18. That is an offer no one should refuse. Fuse blows when you remove the horn? Most likely shorted something when you touched the wire to something you shouldn't have.
  19. Yes, how many depends on who's counting.
  20. You obviously need another Guzzi.
  21. I'll take one of the springs, but I suspect I'll never need one.
  22. We had snow and ice a week ago. Today it was 50˚F so you know what that meant... not looking... riding! My route took me up in the hills were there was still gravel on the road and it was a wee colder. Luckily I was wearing my Christmas present and of, had my heated grips. Probably the last ride this year!
  23. Good because actual answers are lacking. Was there some original post that I missed that described the engine problems before looking for the parts? All I can discern so far is that a 4k mile engine ate itself. Best guess from the lack of information is that it was an oil starvation due to lack of Roper Plate.
  24. He's giving you that old Hawaiian Peace Sign. Why that? I think it was because he thought I was going to take a picture with him and instead I said I just wanted a picture of him. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
