Well, I have given up on the 67 Convertible. Ok, more like my wife isn't happy with the progress. So it will be sold soon. But that doesn't mean there isn't a new project in the garage!

You’re right about the V11 Sport except the gearbox. You’re thinking about the five speed. The six is way different.
-
That's a common problem with the older bikes although I've never seen a 4 year lag before.

2005? Hmmm.

Get your own appraisal! Do not accept theirs!

I'd go with the alloy tank option.

Well, I thought it was going to be good but it was more than good. It was gooder! I have never seen so many V11 Sports in one place. I think I counted six. Here's a taste. There will be a video released in the next week with more goodness. I don't recall what he was asking for the silver bike. The LeMans was $4k. More pictures in the next post.

Now I know why they are often missing. I bought a replacement a while ago but never got around to actually putting it on. I just did and it’s like a Rolex piece. And reverse thread. Turn it the wrong way and it’s loose and from there it’s not going to stay long in this world. I did use locktite but I’m more tempted to use superglue.

I'm saying I'm not sure it not the same battery. Do we know the Spark wasn't made under license? I just recall (vaguely) when I replaced the Spark it looked damn near identical.

I was telling the OP that they should find someone who know more about V11 Sports. Not sure where you got lost in the conversation.

Sorry to hear what? I got my Odyssey from Autozone for way less than Batteries Plus or anywhere else locally. https://www.autozone.com/miscellaneous-non-automotive/power-sport-battery?filterByKeyWord=odyssey&filters=4000000227&fromString=search&isIgnoreVehicle=false&model=odyssey

Rowdy Canadians, the worse!!!!

I went with the Odyssey, I'm still not convinced it's not the exact same battery as the Spark. Also I would not use this person ever again if they don't know which battery to get you or they are trying to rip you off.

Which was the point of the video, to stress test the plastic. Not to optimize the process.
-
Maybe watch it and see if an old dog can learn something new.

This is an interesting option. It looks horrible. I wonder how long those welds will hold up. https://www.stein-dinse.biz/product_info.php?language=sc&products_id=4940

Did you actually watch the video? Remember a die only needs to survive as long as your production is. If you are making dozen units do you want to over-invest in dies? If you are making 10k then no, they will not last. While I could just get the stock one I think we've proven that the stock part isn't always the best.

This was just my first draft and no it doesn't look great. It's flimsy but it works. I'd like to see what else people have done.

You should be way more concerned about that cast metal side stand. Neither the sheet metal or bent wire will do much to you.

So I have been waiting and this is the perfect year, Italian bikes will be featured and lo and behold by Greenie is vintage eligible. The OVM has a 20 year old rule! It's going to freak out some of the old guys to see such a modern looking bike. It will be worth the $20. Stay tuned for more news. My friend George is building the Ducati on the poster (yeah, he made the poster so he gets to pick the bike on the poster too...) and it looks spectacular. Normally there aren't a lot of Italian bikes so hopefully a few turn up. Here's a video from the last time I went. Of course I couldn't show the bike then. But now I can!

How is this near your achilles? Do you have highway pegs on your V11?
