  1. I tried to straighten the bolt a little and then it didn't hit the switch with the lock nut on. So I took it off. It's in my growing box o' Greenie parts.
  2. Got the bike in the air in preparation to get a new front tire on. Great chance to look under the bike and see what's what. Side stand switch bolt bent. I'm surprised it still worked. Adding that to the list. More serious is the loose seal. I see the forks coming off in the near future. Workshop manual says use special kit to get front spindle out. Great. Take off the plug and see a giant hex. Fortunately over the years I've collected a lot of tools and had the exact right size. Still waiting for the lift to show up today. 3. Shoot, pay for plane fare to Spokane and then Bay Area up to PDX, plus gas and I'll ride the dang thing down for you!
  4. I loosened the high idle screw and then used a shim (piece of thin cardboard) to set the distance. You don't want the part to touch the cam. Just clear it. Too close and when you open the "choke" on the handlebar it will rev too high. Too far away and it won't rev enough. So I've also read that only using the left side for your idle can lead to inconsistent idle speeds as you are relying on the linkage to manage the idle on the right side. Ideally you would set the idle screws exactly the same. I'm going to try this method.
  5. I won't be able to get to this stuff until Monday but keep up the great ideas! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah, I set mine to 15 and like it a lot. Maybe docc should set his up from zero and see what happens...
  7. What did you set the CO to?
  8. The nice thing about Photoshop is you can make changes and they don't cost a thing! See, carbon fiber side panels and red valve covers! It was quick too! Anyone want to have some free mods? Post a large photo of your bike with your request! Sarcastic requests will be met with brutal results.
  9. This is a left and a right. You can see the ends are the only difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Not only that but that's just part of the wall! Just to give you an idea the expansion alone was 85,000 sq ft... For those of you who have "had it on your list" this is the year to take it off that list and put it in the done pile...
  11. What causes the dip at 4k? Cam or exhaust?
  12. There is definitely not enough meat on the end for anything. I'll get better pictures later. The size and shape is otherwise spot on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I'm always hesitant to break out a hammer. But in this case it was the only way to push the pin past the spring. If you're using these Monster pegs you'll want to use the Guzzi pin and spring. The pin is longer on the Monster. I also had to lightly sand the pegs so it would rotate smoothly. That and a touch of white lithium grease. Now it works perfectly. I'm not disappointed with a little fettling for a $10 set! Monster Guzzi I'll get to the other side later. Probably when I have the bike up on the lift to get the front wheel off. 14. I got the foot pegs today. Any tips on getting the spring on? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. While I won't be able to ride the V11 to Barber this year it would still be cool to meet some folks if you show up. I know it's early but it's also a good opportunity to prod people who haven't been before. Plus the new extension is now open so there is now even more unbelievable bikes to see! http://www.barbermuseum.org/events/barber-vintage-festival/ So who's going this year?
  16. looks Great uuu. welcome to the forum I want red heads even more after seeing this one. Considering how scraped up my one valve cover is I can't make it worse.

  22. When I got home I bumped the CO Trim up to 15. I also bumped the idle up to 1100. Keep in mind at 1100 my charging light is off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
