  1. There were what looking like water marks or something on the screen. Along with some very light scratching. I hit it with some plastic polish and it looks almost new! So much better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. The plastic cruise controls will break. When they do you'll get the aluminum ones.
  3. I assume it's reading it at the ECU which I don't think it directly connected to the battery.
  4. More pictures of the Commando behind your bike! And a close up of your fairing when you get a chance.
  5. As mentioned I got it from one of the forum members. It's got a scratch on the left side and the screen needs a good polishing but I'm happy!
  6. Plus the seat doesn't line up with the tank.
  7. First ride with fairing. It seemed noisier. It might be because I'm going faster with the fairing. There is definitely a huge reduction of wind on my chest. Once I got some ear plugs in there was a lot less noise that what I recalled from when the fairing wasn't on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Went to the dealer today and got a new lens. $2. Parts guy couldn't believe the price either. That took care of the busted front lens. A zip tie took care of the rear turn signal although I really need new ones front and rear but at least it's rideable. So far I'm out $2. I also picked up a new shirt. Need to bulk up on my Guzzi shirts. The closet is mostly Norton and Triumph. And then lunch with the wee lad. [emoji41] And then a ride to celebrate. Phew. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I've never tried it, but I'll bet you could rig up some sort of hillbilly thing with air pressure and a gauge to see where it blows off? There's gotta be *some* reason for 2 pumps going tits up. I did this to set the pressure on the aero engine pressure relief valve.. Thanks Chuck - It occurred to me to try the Champagne tank on the Greenie, since I also wanted to see if the manual petcock (Greenie has electric) cures the Greenie's fuel starvation issue. I'm playing Dr. Frankenstien today... I can't wait to get my bodywork off and give it a good clean. Going to wait until I have all the paperwork in order.

  11. On some cars there's a Schrader valve in the fuel rail and you can check the fuel pressure there. Not sure on these bikes. Yet.
  12. You don't seem boring, therefore, you must be lucky. Happy almost 50th. Time for the 50-year-old-man preventative maintenance checks... Woah now! 50 isn't until next year! I get to keep a death grip on my 40s for another year. Had the preventive maintenance early. I'm good for a while. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I've made it to nearly 50 without breaking a single bone. Either I'm lucky or boring. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. http://www.accessnorton.com/led-headlight-t21426.html#p301949 I'm not sure where I posted the Guzzi one. I thought it was on Wild Guzzi but I can't find it. Edit: I posted to the MGNOC Facebook Group. The Wild Guzzi guys get a little weird about LED headlights. That was more recent than the Norton one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. What a way to start my birthday weekend. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Where's the best place to see pictures of your bike? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. No manufacturing marks that I could find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks to Rox LeMans for the fairing! It fits perfectly. I did learn the Scura brackets are handed. And you know I know this because I got it wrong the first time... I can wait to get it out and try it. Plus the fairing hides the scratches on the instrument pod! The brake reservoir mount had to be tweaked to clear the fairing. Oh, and unless you have teenie hands like me make sure you install the screen first! And lastly I had the perfect bolts for the headlight. The original ones, I assume original, were rusty hex heads. And too short to mount the fairing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. John, the worse thing I've done is show up a bike night so tired I forgot to put the side stand down. You can guess what happened next. I'm just glad I've never had a high speed get off. Yet. Thank you for the offer. I'm going to try to find a matching peg or the Monster ones. I wouldn't be surprised if some day I'll ask you about the lowering pegs. 20. I'll worry about if I ever get pulled over by a fed. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I'm going to limp home now and access the damage. First on the body and then on the bike.
  22. Portland drivers don't see as many bikers as drier parts of the country and are less attentive when you are around. If I could tow around a marching band I doubt it would get their attention. While I don't like the flashing headlights I don't mind flashing someone my brake lights. Today was ironically the first time that I rode with the new brake light and it was nice to see people keeping back when I was braking. I saw the same thing when switching to a LED headlight on my other bikes. It's different so they pay better attention.
  23. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Left-Right-Front-Footrest-Foot-Pegs-For-DUCATI-Monster-696-796-2009-2014-10-11-/221714910393?fits=Make%3ADucati%7CModel%3AMonster+796&hash=item339f3d0cb9%3Ag%3Ay14AAOxyf1dTH%7E1V They look very similar but don't have the dragging nut at the bottom. Not that I ever what to be dragging pegs! But for that price I"m not going to complain!
  24. That would be awesome! Let me know! I'm just lucky I didn't have the new fairing on. That would have crushed me. It should be sitting at home when I get there.
  25. Why would you want a non-flashing one?
