  1. Well now, working on the bike I hit the switch and no fuel pump. Yep, that Bosch relay. I had a spare offa the EV after I replaced them all with Pyro Dan's stuff for about $25 (it's another trouble shooter story, not to bore you) and the bike started fine. So I go to the auto parts store to get a new relay and it was $20 for one and it was made in Ghina . I guess I'll order a whole 'nother set from Dan-o. I don't know what I did with the other relays offa the EV. ?? .. Prolly trashed 'em It was about $20 for five of them from DigiKey... the good ones.
  2. Not anxious. Do you mind taking some more pictures of your multicolor dash when you have some time? I think you just have the one in the other thread you mentioned. Thanks!
  3. He paid $5k, not the ebay price, if I understand it correctly. It sounds like the dealer snapped it up from eBay for $3700 and resold it to Shiny Mike for $5k.
  4. I saw the one picture. What do you think, do you like the contrast?
  5. Unfortunately not. The hex on my lock nut is only big enough to pass the brass nyloc nut with the kit and not the pocket washer. Maybe they made the hex hole bigger in 2002? Seems weird but hey... Guzzi!
  6. What did I do wrong or different from you?
  7. That's so... practical. I'm going to see if I can use one of the screws that hold on the instrument panel, that might work.
  8. I think the later bikes (Scura on?) have an all black dash? Or black and carbon, or something? Has anyone painted the earlier dash light section darker? I was thinking the crinkle paint like on LM1 top forks, or maybe the instrument panel on the 850-T? It might also make it easier to see the warning lights.
  9. Do I get extra points because that building behind it houses the Spruce Goose? Get it, Goose! You get a Goose IPA. Must be present to win. So the Spruce Goose in Oregon now? I saw it when it was in Long Beach Harbor, next to the Queen Mary. Yup. They weren't taking care of it down there so it's up here now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. My guess is early onset alternator cover...
  12. The Southern Oregon coast (Gold Beach area) is pretty spectacular. It was getting cleaner because the more I rode it the faster I went and it just blew the grime right off! Actually it's pretty dirty. I'll give it a clean before going to the DMV on Friday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, I tightened something on the dampener down the first night when I went over the bike. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. On an early RedFrame, that would be **silver** . . . . You spelled "green" wrong.
  15. I know there are previous topics on tires/tyres but they are evolving so fast I had to ask again. That Michelin looks fantastic. It looks like the PR 3 is pretty similar too? There are PR on there now, but I didn't know to look for a number. Will do when I get home.
  16. https://www.superbrightleds.com/search/led-products/194/ Which ones have the diodes? I can't seem to find it mentioned in the descriptions. Or can you pick any that are Polarity Sensitive = No?
  17. Yeah, I did zero searching on this one. Right now the bike has Michelin Radials but the front is in need of replacement. The rear had been replaced at some point not too long ago after getting a nail in it's predecessor. But up here in Oregon I'd really like an all season tire, as I'm likely (ok, guaranteed!) to get caught in the rain at some point. I'm also a slow rider so if my knee is down the bike probably is too. So any recommendations on a decent front tire that's got decent performance and great in the rain? Also do I have to worry about mismatched front and rears? I assumed the rear will wear and get replaced at some time in the near future. I love Avon Road Riders for my vintage stuff, great in the rain (although looking at them it's a mystery how) but I don't think they have the performance a V11 demands even for mildly spirited riding. Thoughts?
  18. I forgot to ask, is this a factory unit or aftermarket. It definitely works, I had it tightened too much and nearly crashed on city streets. Oops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I just downloaded the writer, of course it won't let me do anything unless I'm hooked up. Let me try that and see what happens.
  20. docc has a Mac, I wonder if he's tried to load a new .bin?
