  1. I forgot to ask, is this a factory unit or aftermarket. It definitely works, I had it tightened too much and nearly crashed on city streets. Oops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I just downloaded the writer, of course it won't let me do anything unless I'm hooked up. Let me try that and see what happens.
  3. docc has a Mac, I wonder if he's tried to load a new .bin?
  4. Well, maybe but if you take off the nut and install the mount to the nut then how do you tighten the nut back into place?
  5. It's rubber. It's pretty hard to be savage with rubber.
  6. Enjoy.
  7. There are only three lights I want brighter; neutral, turn signal and fuel. I don't want the high beam light too bright as it will be one mostly at night anyways. But the turn signal bulb should be nice and bright. I obviously found out pretty quick that taking the front cover off was useless except to clean the light cover! It sounds like to replace the fuel light you can either leave the original bulb in series or put in a resistor (2 watt and 82 ohms?). Is that correct? I replace the bulbs on my 850T and blew some fuses until I clipped the contact wires...
  8. Except no one knows what's at the bottom of the hole! My probe bottomed out about the length of the screw and just brought back grease. How the stem is attached is still a mystery.
  9. I'm going to check out the EEPROM too. But I like the feedback from GuzziDiag. It's a lot like the stuff we could do with the Triumphs.
  10. Dang! That's always been an issue.. Maybe not at the airport but I think I met those two at the airport bar...
  11. Keeping in mind I was only at a max engine temp of about 30˚C and I think the CO was at about 30. Until I get the engine to full temp I don't know if that number is useful. Unused in the US? Pretty unusual for a manufacturer to put stray wires in the harness. They had to be meant for something.
  12. So now that I'm home I got a chance to try the stem mount. I didn't have as much luck as JRD. I'll photo document so that other people can see what I did. Slipping a razor under the cap. Once it lifted a little I went to a straight blade screwdriver. It's a round plug in a hex hole. No twisting needed. So following JRD I used a short piece of vacuum line. Just the right size to fit in the hole. Note that the included nut is JUST the right size to fit the hex. Also don't lose the nut down there. It won't fall out the bottom! Unfortunately the hex area is only about 10mm thick and then it opens up into the stem so there's nothing for the mount to grab onto. So I don't know how JRD did it. The mount is cast aluminum and very sturdy so even sticking up like his did should be a problem. So I'm stuck, not in a good way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I talked to John today to help out with the computer stuff. In the meantime I plugged my bike in to see if there were any issues connecting. John had given me an extra adapter cable he had and I already had the USB to ODB from my Triumph. It worked great even going through the USB-C to USB-A adapter! Tach gauge seems to be dead on. Didn't get the bike hot enough to check the other stuff. The alligator clips were too small so I attached them to the Battery Tender cable! Perfect. My side question is what are these two bullet connectors for? One seems to be a ground and I don't know what the other one does. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I think you just described most Guzzis.
  15. Dirt because it's hard to clean under the rack! Between kids, editing the video, taking off the rack and playing with the GuzziDiag I haven't had time to clean it!
  16. Well, stay tuned. I'm cutting together video now. Will take a little time to put together but it'll be more fun to share!
