  1. People here are generally far nicer than most places on the internet.
  2. I bet you could presell more than a few. They do show up for sale occasionally. You should get prices for a few ranges. 1, 10, 50. Especially since they are readily available. https://www.ebay.com/itm/132489689696
  3. What has happened is the additional thickness of the tail section has raised the seat. The raise seat has raised the cowl which is attached to the seat. A couple options: Shorten the seat base. Normally this would be bad as it would hit stuff under the seat like the ECU but in your case it might work. Changing the seat base may require altering the foam and upholstery. Shorten the seat and move the cowl mounting points. It's not just the foam that needs to be lowered but the cowl mounting points too. No need to trim the cowl. In fact if you do it may fit worse.
  4. You have added thickness to parts. I would actually be surprised if they fit. The thicker carbon layer on the tail section has raised your seat. The cowl (because it's attached to the seat is going to be higher. To get the cowl to fit you'll need to lower the seat somehow. Or shorten the seat. No amount of sun is going to help.
  5. We eagerly await the results of your experiment.
  6. So they laid carbon fiber over the existing tank and seat? I hope the carbon fiber is flexible because the tank sure is. What happens when the tank swells? Are you hoping the lining prevents that?
  7. Mirrors are so old fashioned.

I see you didn’t doubt me on the porn part.

    IMGZEIT

I use Imgur only because if they went anywhere the 14 trillion cat memes on the internet would go away. And we know thats not happening. The internet runs on two things, cat memes and porn.
  10. The appropriate action would have been to tell the client to hold on. There's nothing wrong with you rewatching it 14 more times... not that I've done that. If you look in the video's description you'll even see a link to the forum there.
  11. Mike is a scrappy lad, I'm sure he could have taken us both on!
  12. I didn't know they came with DBKs. How can you tell?
  13. I can't believe no one mentioned the forum call out.
  14. I figure I wouldn’t get much push back with that comment.
  15. So my buddy Mike has been filming a series of interviews at his Cul De Sac. It's a way to socially distance and still get a motorcycle fix during this wee pandemic. It's mostly British bikes because, well, that's what his channel is about but that doesn't mean there can't be some diversity. Some of his viewers have been clamoring for some Guzzis so I rounded up my friend Terry and gave them a double dose. The channel is at http://themightygarage.com and if you like great motorcycle videos then consider subscribing. New videos are released at least once a week and this time of year even more often.
  16. I put that into Google without safe search on...
  17. You would be surprised at what can turn up in the South. With the distributor gone in that area there is little to no support and even less knowledge about those bikes there.
  18. I have a feeling it's next to that place that the sun don't shine.
  19. Just because a dealer sold something doesn't mean it came from the factory. Unless you have factory literature showing a product I would question it.
  20. My machinist in the Norton club is so old school his lathe can’t cut the metric threads. So far my mount is working fine although the custom one is pretty cool.
  21. All good! Thanks for confirming.
  22. The bottom of the tank should either align with the bottom or the seat or it should flow together. Neither one of these two do that.
  23. Can you confirm the height dimensions? Overall and then of the upper and lower parts?
  24. You can't have a 30mm diameter object and require a 30mm wrench. But you are correct that the first post did say a 30mm wrench. If I could get to my bike I'd measure the existing stem nut but there are a couple Nortons in the way. Damn British.
