Honda CBX 1978-1982 came first. Laverda also did a magnificent job of copying the early Honda 305 motors to develop their 750 twins. Gorgeous motors! Not so. The Sei came first by a rather long time. 1972. Being a bit of a Benellisita having one in pieces in my house right now.

FYI. Part number GU01633330 is the same across the 2000-2001 Sport, 2002 Lemans/Sport, 2003-2004 LeMans. May be functional variance but that should indicate wide spread compatibility.

They are all made and machined the same way. I was at the factory last week to pickup mine. Great guys over there. I can only assume the color changes what machining marks you can see. Really to bad the fakes flood the market and directly impact their business.
