  1. Thanks to @scud I am halfway there!! Put my old lock in the new fuel filler, now all I need to do is un-hinge the filler cap and put it on the bike!
  2. Hey Good Folks My gas cap broke off yesterday, drove home with the cap duck taped closed. As this is not a long term solution, anyone have any ideas? Finding OEM parts these days seems like a fools errand. Maybe it's time to just decide that it's no longer stock, and go for an aftermarket non-keyed filler? Grant
  3. I use these, they hold enough for me and are super light and work just fine, I went from LA to SF and back on my V11using these. They also come easily on and off. So you can kind of roll up, un-velcro them and you are all set. https://touratech-usa.com/Store/Touratech-Waterproof-MOTO-Waterproof-Saddle-Bags
  4. Saw this on Ebay thought y'all might be interested https://www.ebay.com/itm/2000-Moto-Guzzi-V11-Sport/224080450606
  5. Hey I am in LA and potentially interested....is it the 6 speed? and are you around this weekend?
  6. Sh$*, should I sell my Ballabio and buy the Scura, a lot less miles, could take my performance parts and such off mine and add to this one......
  7. Loving this. I ride primarily around town (this includes our amazing canyons) and live in Los Angeles so my needs may be a bit different. I rely on Arai for the last 20 years for a good fitting helmet. I wear either a Vanson or a Schott leather jacket with a Knox armoured shirt underneath. In warmer weather I have a Dianese perf jacket with armour built in. For pants either RevIt Alpha chinos or Aether Mojave pants (depends on the weather, the Aethers have nice venting for hot days and added hip armour) I also have a pair of Dianese adventure pants for longer journeys. I wear RevIt gloves with smart phone tech, don't love them but they are protective and pretty comfy, I used to use a pair of Lee Parks deer skin gloves but they have no armour so I had to give them up. For boots I wear Red Wings, which is not the best. In fact investigating some of the boots y'all are endorsing on here.
  8. What sort of tranny do you have?

  10. Currently trying to buy an ST4s just to ride to the race! I rode my V11 from LA to SF and back (obvs) and while that was fun, I could avoid the boring freeways, not really possible LA to Austin and back, would still love to catch up with some V11 owners, maybe someone should organize a drinks/hangout? Would love to see The Doctor win in person!
  11. Thanks again for all your help. Clearly I have no idea about electrical systems.
  12. Got the cables and levers last week, all great!
  13. Original Gangster it is. But Old Git would do. I'm 51 so well I'm well into that territory just not with Guzzi'a
  14. Just bought some things from MG we will see......watch this space. Also thanks again to all the OG's help!
  15. Thanks Guys I went on Harpers and many links are dead so wasn't sure if it was still OK about to order those cables right now and some new levers.
  16. You can cancel this topic and put it somewhere else. I am looking to replace some mechanical parts (sparkplug wires first) and was curious if there is a good online source for parts? Thanks in advance.
  17. They said that you just wire into the headlight so that it's automatic and you don't have to mess with it too much, they are 24 amps https://www.clearwaterlights.com/products/darla
  18. Thanks for the welcome gents . . .
  19. I am considering getting Clearwater accessory lights and mounting them on my forks. My concern is the wiring, fusebox etc. Anyone have any experience adding electrical components?
