  4. Amen! Sooo sweet.... Can't wait till I get my hands on my stuff from the Tank Shop! Grats, Guy. One bella machina Søren
  5. Still wondering who that odd looking geezer in the sidecar is.... How did he get down there? And moreover how did he get up again?? Love Scotland, beautyful countryside, nice people, great atmosphere. Would have loved to be there but right now rain is hammering down like it has done the entire week! Where's Spring?? Søren
  6. Hi Guy :-) Come on, tell the true story: Haggis, malt whiskey, pints, lap dancers?? Won't tell Mrs. Guzzirider.... Cheers Søren
  7. Great road trip, Rocker! Thanks for sharing. Søren
  8. Bloody show-off, are you! BOTM AGAIN!! Well deserved; mighty fine Guzzi 950 you have! Søren
  9. You're da man, Jan! Thanks a lot, Fischkopf Søren
  10. I like your chop job, Jan, and I think I'll do something similiar. Did you use a hacksaw or grinder or what? Søren
  11. Ciao, Antonio Doing fine, head up and feet down. Sitting here at work while everybody else is out celebrating Labour Day. I won't be going to Ireland as I'm in the progress of refurbishing our house which is quite expensive. Would have loved to go there but not this year. You guys have fun! No news about Switzerland yet due to the recession but we'll aim for early 2010 for a final decision. See ya around Søren
  12. Oh, Frodo's brother?? Have fun in the Shire, Hobbit.... Sorry, Jan, couldn't resist. Cheers Søren
  13. Dog's bollocks! Purdy! Nice job, St. Augustine Søren
  14. Hate people like you, Jaspar..... Bloody impressive work, Jaspar!! Hats off and free brews for that gentleman, bartender! BR Søren PS: Recommended your bike to Jaap as BOTM material a month ago or so, so let's keep our fingers crossed :-)
  15. Hi Skeeve, thought about that too but as Jan also states I'm not a big fan of too tall screen. Too much Gold Wing..... BR Søren
  16. Hi Dan, yup, you bet! Sat at the head stand watching every move on the track on the huge wide screen when they were giving it all around the circuit. Those chaps have MAJOR cojones; nothing less. Haga tried to sway Spies off track down the straight after the finish line but Ben played cool. He has absolutely no respect for ol' Nitro Nori so there's no free ride for Haga. I've always loved Haga for his insane riding style but Ben Spies is a world class rider - nothing less. Pity about Hopper who broke his femur and dislocated his pelvis. Looked nasty on the screen and the ambulance just stayed way too long with Hopper lying flat on his back. Hope he's recovering soon. The Supersport race was also exciting. Cal Crutchlow made a rubbish start despite having pole posiiton. Ended up 10th at the first corner but managed to finish a respectable 3rd. Laverty and Lascorz were jostling for the chequered flag but Laverty pipped victory a whisker ahead of Lascorz. Danish top rider Robbin Harms ended 9th after having spent most time in the pit during practice. New team means no available data so they are more or less starting from scratch. BR Søren
  17. Looks fine IMHO. In fact I have a tall windscreen on my Scura (can't remember the name but I bought it from a dealer in Flensborg, Germany) which creates a lot of noise. I have had plans chopping my screen to a more suitable height so that I will do :-) Just returned from Superbike and Supersport races in Assen, The Netherlands, and I was partially deaf the following day despite using ear plugs. How tall are you, Jan? I'm 191cm (6"3'). Cheers Søren
  18. Amen, Tom! Cheers Søren
  19. Hi Scotty, seems like the sprawl gremlin has hit you. As far as I know this is the first 2003 model that has had a tranny problem; all others have been 2002 models like mine fear not though; it fixable either by your own hand if you got your thumbs mounted the right way. Otherwise it's a 1/2 day job for a trained mechanic. I drove something like 80 miles in 4th gear including a stop at a toll booth but I managed to get back home in one piece. Good luck with your bike - when it's fixed it's history All the best Søren
  20. Thanks, Tom!
  21. That really cracked me up, Slavomir.... :-) I'm also on the lookout for new rearsets as my legs are killing me on long trips. Motobits? Could be the answer but I'm not sure. My new rearsets must be adjustable downwards and a tad backwards - otherwise they won't make any difference. Cheers Søren PS: Just bought me a new iMac with a 20" screen - what a difference compared to the pc - world!! Happy camper....
  22. Hi Andrew, I'm also a lanky fellar like you with legs from hell but so far no probs. Long rides (+ 500 miles) get a little cramped but that's life :-) Go the 'Jaap Way' installing a taller seat and get some decent adjustable rearsets = problems solved. Cheers Søren
  23. Hi again, I promised I would get back ASAP regarding my participation in Ulster Rally. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it this year as I cannot justify taking a week of at present (nor in May). I'm up to my ears both at work and home so no Søren Tikkanen in Ulster this year, unfortunately. However, I'm still keen to arrange next years V11 rally. This may not - repeat may not - take place in Denmark, as me and wifey probably will move to Switzerland for good later this year. She has been offered a very lucrative job in her organisation which means that we physically have to move to La Belle Suisse. And me? Oh, I thought you'll never ask. I'll retire and will fart around learning French, eating chokolates and playing my Swiss alphorn all day. And a little touring around the country of course. France is just an hour away and Italy can be reached in an hour and a half. Living la dolce vita! More to come..... BR Søren
