  1. Greetings from Denmark Temps are around 8-10C which is remarkably warm for November/December. No sign of snow yet Still a lot of bikes on the roads but insurance covering is the key issue - you are normally only allowed to ride until 01 November. After that you either cross your fingers or pay s*** loads £$ to the vultures at your local insurance company. My Scura is stowed away in the corner of the garage and will remain there until March/April. Happy miles to all the riders who still can enjoy the good weather BR Søren
  2. Hi Tam, Hmm, sounds odd. I run the exact same stuff as you do (PCIII and Mistral CF cans). The only difference is my Mistral x-over. I'm mechanically challenged so I cannot tell whether this could be the gremlin? Besides that balancing your throttle bottles - as already stated - is the only feasible solution that I can up with. Strange..... Ciao Søren
  3. Hi Pete, Bought one of your plates from Jens Lyck AKA Mr. Guzzitech, who had a spare one for sale. Plate looks fine and will go in later this year when I hang up my wheels for this season. Ciao Søren
  4. Yours truly drooling over the MGS at Copenhagen Bike Expo 2005....
  5. here are my favourites: The Laverda 750 SFC The ever so beautyful MGS and my Scura, of course.... Cheers Søren
  6. Back in my army days my wife and I went to a Robert Burns Night with a bunch of Jocks. We were the only foreigners and we had a great time watching the chieftain (oldest Scottish officer) saying 'ode to a haggis' and what have you. We were also introduced to the various Scottish dances which was quite funny (especially after umpteen glasses of malt whisky......) With the risk of being rewarded 'Sad Plonker of the Month' I actually liked haggis, neeps and tatties As for the malt whiskies I'm all in for Ardbeg and Laphroaig. Islay (smoked) whiskies are an acquired taste but once you get bitten by the Islay bug you're hooked.... Slainte! Søren

  8. Hi Staedtler, Andorra is absolutely great. First of all it's tax free, food and booze are plenty and the roads are made for motorcycling. Watch out for the local Gibernaus and Melandris on their Super Motards as they drive like madmen on crack. True! Same goes for lorry drivers who think they are born-again-Schumachers. Don't drive the twisty roads at night unless you want to practice skydiving with your motorcycle. My wife and I were about to do it once but thank God we came to terms. The Spanish and French youngsters have a rather liberal relationship with alcohol and vehicles, so don't push your luck, please. I can see Orson has already offered his advice and that's the man to listen to. I'm quite impressed with Orson's way of living: work hard and then take 5-6 weeks motorcycle vacation worldwide every year. Respect! Søren
  9. I found this ex-Cali Stone on the German E-bay site. The guy wants Euro 12.000 for this little cutie. See more footage here: the bike weighs in at only 200 kg ready to rock, has 85 BHP, 1100 cc displacement, Showa USD fork with Wilbers internal springs, 6 pot calipers and what have you. The engine is momentarily restricted to 25 bhp but can be brought back to full monty by removing two bolts. A real stunner IMHO Søren
  10. Hi Mogens It's a piece of cake - buy a Scura!!! Søren
  11. Hi Meinolf Welcome onboard this forum of V11 lovers. Enjoy! Søren
  12. Hi Orson, You definitely know how to make a trip report interresting! Beautyful scenery up in Norway, I must confess Glad to hear you made it all the way home in one piece and I'm glad that I could help you out your misery. You guys should have seen him! What a shitty state he was in.... There's one thing you forgot to count in your recap: The 200 bog roles that you went through while staying at my place! ....... Søren
  13. Hi Frio, this is their address and phone number. If you still can't get in touch with them then PM me off line. Cheers Søren Saltum MC - Ths. Jensensvej 13 - Saltum - Tlf.: +45 9888 1811 /+45 4011 0811 Fax: +45 9888 15 76 - e-mail: saltum-mc@saltum-mc.dk
  14. Hi gh67, I also fancy the Rossopuro tail section as I find the OEM thingie too lardy. I'm still in search for a good looking replacement for the standard seat and rear section and the Rossopuro could be an alternative. Other alternatives could be the Duc 916/996 monoseat but I've seen too many Guzzis with that solution so I've put that on hold. Honda's SP1/SP2 looks pretty good, too, so I'm checking ebay randomly for parts. BTW, could you be a sport an post a pic of your RP tail? Thanks in advance. Søren
  15. Hi Frio, Contact Paul Minnaert or Jean Marc ("Zebulon"). They both drive Daytonas. Good luck Søren
  16. Gents, you seem to forget the noble Scura German motorcycle magazine "Motorrad" nominated it to be a top ten bike when it came to design. Only 600 were made so stick to your Scuras! Cheers Søren
  17. Hi Leon, Orson have just been visiting me on his Tour de Europe. On his way through Norway his rearwheel's bearing went south and he had to have it replaced up in Oslo. Orson's Tenni has just 50.000 km (30.000 miles) on the clock. Furthermore his rear tyre looked like shite when I met him at the ferry in Denmark. It was just like there was a deep cut on the left hand side of the tyre. Naurally Orson had his tyre replaced here in Copenhagen but nonetheless it sounds strange that a tyre can be worn so badly. To cut a long story short you're not the only one having problems with your bearings. In fact Orson's Tenni has been visiting the mechanic three times to have rearwheel bearings replaced..... Ciao Søren
  18. Hi Slug, I know how you feel as my Scura kept blowing fuses for the starter engine. It turned out that the wires from the dashboard was scrubbing against the steering stem thus creating this malfunfunction. I simply took some gaffa tape (I think you guys call it duck tape or something like that) and gave the wireharness a good wrapping and presto! No more blown fuses. Good luck Søren
  19. Thanks, Paul. Great looking bikes, especially Bernd Titter and Heiko's bikes. I'm not really sure about the Guzzila, though. It's like either you love it or loathe it and I seem to change my opinion every time I see the 'Zilla. No, it is impressive - I came to terms! Søren

Hi Martin, that price wouldn't scare me either but then again both you and I are used to the silly prices up here in Scandinavia. Bike looks absolutely pristine and if I had the dosh I wouldn't hesitate. Good luck with your "new" purchase. Cheers Søren
  21. I see images that I really don't wanna see..... Nads in cling film...OMG!
  22. Jeff, check out the translation, courtesy of Babelfish (www.altavista.com) ---------------- moto specially GmbH, Uracher STR. 23, 72532 Gomadingen, 14.06.06 Hydraulic clutch for Guzzis The hydraulic clutch manipulation consists of 2 hydraulic units. Master cylinder Nehmerzylinder (??) These are connected by a pressure pipe. The function of the clutch separation is realized hydraulically thereby. I.e. the master cylinder displaces liquid, which the nehmerzylinder (??) converts in mechanical motion during operation. Thus the clutch is separated. The stroke thereby amounts to approx. 2,5-3mm. The used liquid with the Guzzi solution is radiator liquid like one it from the motorcar radiator knows. (with conventional systems brake fluid) this has the following reason: The used rubber parts are brake fluid compatibly however not oil compatible in the giving cylinder. In contrast to it the rubber parts oil-compatibly used in the nehmerzylinder are however not brake fluid compatible. There in the transmission however oil is gives it a boundary surface between oil and the hydraulic system. The radiator liquid is however a liquid, which is compatible with both rubber places. This liquid is applicable also at temperatures to approx. 130°C. The advantages of the hydraulic clutch: accurately defined pressure point State of the art with the new Big bikes unproblematic assembly outstanding dosage thus clutch-carefully no wearing, or clever clutch courses more Hand strength continuously approx. 75Nm ------------------------------ Søren

    Hello All

Welcome to the forum, Steve Cheers Søren
  24. Jens is a Danish Guzzi-guru par excellence so you can count on him. He even gives credits to the magnificent Guzzi-aces Pete Roper and Rolf Johansen - his kindred spirits. Recommended Guzzitech Søren
  25. Amen, Antonio! If you want good beer then look out for the Belgian brands. They are second to none, especially the Chimay Bleu (trappiste beer made by the monks) Skål! Søren
