  1. Hang them high! You don't steal another man's horse nor his bike. Glad to hear that your bike is back! Cheers Søren
  2. Congrats Rocker59 with the fine new bike Looks awesome. I can't resist to comment on your "I had to take my leathers off". Here in Denmark we're freezing our bits off. We still have plenty of snow and the roads are covered in salt....... Good luck and keep the sticky side of your tyres down. Søren
  3. Ciao Dottore Gilberto, Good to see you back on the road. We Guzzistis are the chosen few (??) and the least we could do is to extend a helping hand. Enjoy your "new" bike - it looks fantastic! Søren
  4. Good to hear that you are on the sunny side now, Guzzirider Stay healthy and keep the wheels spinning. Cheers Søren
  5. We're a Ford family as my father in law (RIP) was the head wrench at a Ford garage. Wifey: Ford Mondeo 2.0 TDCI Stationcar (DIESEL!!) Mio: Ford Focus 2.0 Stationcar (PETROl!!) Sons: Ford Escort 1.1 from 1985 My wife is about to change car and she won't have a Ford again. I'm trying to persuade her to buy an Alfa Romeo - either the 159 or the sexy Brera.... See the 159 See the Brera Cheers Søren
  6. Erm, a remote control fart machine?? A picture says more than thousand words, but not this time, thank you I remember Steve Parish - he was quite a strong rider when he was in business. Søren
  7. Good point, Docc The Harley scene here in Denmark is exactly as you describe (and this comes from an ex-Harley rider). It's not about the bike - it's about being seen and to pose like a badass biker although you're an attorney or a dentist. It was the same reason why I skipped the Harley and went the Guzzi way instead (I also got tired wearing sunglasses indoor... ) Søren
  8. Hi Bill, I received a Christmas card from Magni so they're still in business. Two years ago I also made an inquiry for the svelte looking Magni fairing but it was too bloody expensive so I went for the V11 Le Mans fairing instead. Good luck! Søren
  9. Nice shot and what a fine pair of bikes you and Her Indoors have! I've tried to persuade my wife to buy a 1100 Breva but she fancies the Ducati Monster over the Guzzi. She has taken a few spins on my Scura but she's not a big fan of clip ons and in general she thinks the Scura is too big for her (she stands 6" tall with legs to match so she's not exacly a dwarf). Søren
  10. Just paint it black, Van..... Søren
  11. Seems like we are having a good debate here, right chaps? I like the look of the bike but there's no way in hell I would buy one nor a R6, Gixxer or the like unless I would start road racing. One of the UK magazines (Superbike, Performance Bike or was it MCN?) ran a 30 page special on the Triumph and they were bend over backwards impressed about the performance of the bike. The only flaw was the size (my wife says size matters and I don't know what she's talking about... ) of the bike. It's just too petite for anybody over 6 foot. BTW, wasn't it Ron 'Rocket' Haslam in the start of video? Those trademark sideburns/whiskers look familiar. Cheers Søren
  12. Dunnit! Søren
  13. My taste in music varies from deathmetal to classical music. Before Christmas I went to the Royal Danish Opera House where they performed Rossini's opera "Cinderella". Your call.... Søren PS: Martin, your FTPIM sounds great. Me and a couple of mates had a similiar organisation where we played rock'n roll all night paired up with gallons of beer, booze, farts and dirty jokes much to the disbelief of my still beloved wife. Aah, those were the days... Søren
  14. Hi Gil, Good to hear you're ok and the bike is in progress. Keep up the good work and you'll be hitting the roads in sunny Cali in the very near future Cheers Søren
  15. Good to hear about your recovery, Mike Keep exercising them ol' bones - that's the only cure. I stopped training for 6 months during my recovery after my accident (also a broken pelvis + a ruined kneecap after a bicycling accident in 2001) and that was the worst thing I've ever done. You gotta keep the body in shape at all time, otherwise you'll end up as a coach potatoe. Good luck. Søren
  16. I saw Motorhead and Sepultura here in Copenhagen. They did a double gig and I had the worst case of tinitus afterwards. Those guys play LOUD!! I know In Flames, they're pretty good, too. In fact the headbanger scene in Sweden is quite big. Also try to listen to The Hellacopters. Søren
  17. Motörhead! What else would a Scuristi listen to? Other fav's are System of a Down, Sepultura, Rammstein, Ozzy, Pink Floyd, Nine Inch Nails and Danish band Kashmir. Søren PS: My wife doesn't share my taste in music, funnilly enough...
  18. It's the Dutch who's been away on a p*** up night! It's Dutch Grolsch beer, so check out if Jaap, Paul and Antonio have sobered up after the party... A Scura owner would never do such a thing, noooo...... Søren
  19. I swapped my flyscreen to a V11 Le Mans half fairing. I also stand 190 cm (+) above sea level and I found the standard Scura screen to be more show than go. I´ve changed the screen to a MRA double bubble screen for this season but I haven´t tried it out yet - time will tell, whether this is worth the dosh. Cheers Søren
  20. ...help the blind to see..... Thanks, Martin Søren PS: I still gonna haunt you down....
  21. Looks sweet IMHO. Imagine the bike with a pair of Cibie/Hella dual headlights like the old Honda endurance racer back in the ' 80.... Søren
  22. Hass means 'hate' in German. I don't recall anything in Norwegian or Swedish reminiscing that word. Göran Thyni, Martin Dude? Søren
  23. Allright, no more picking on us -riders. I find Martin Dude's remark about hosing a Rosso in order to turn in into a very offensive. Mdude, I'll send my private -army to Oslo and haunt you down.... Jim, I love your new signature - enlighten us, please! Søren
  24. I had my porkchops powder coated in black. Looks great on the Scura together with the black sparkplug cables that I also added. See the Gallery for more pics or my webshots Cheers Søren
  25. Martin, Don't work your computer when consuming Linieakvavit..... I think you should accept your bodger point, too. Having gone through all this mess with your Sachs/Sucks shock absorber you definitely qualify as a bodger. Skål! Søren "Aquavit (1890) (Swedish and Danish akvavit, Norwegian akevitt, from Medieval Latin aqua vitae, "water of life", also spelled aquavite, or akvavit, also called schnapps in Denmark.) A Scandinavian flavoured, distilled liquor, ranging in alcohol content from about 42 to 45 % by volume (41.5% to be exact), clear to pale yellow in colour, distilled from a fermented potato or grain mash, flavored with caraway seeds or cumin seed, others that may be used are lemon or orange peel, cardamom, aniseed, and fennel. Liquor was imported to Norway from Europe starting in the 1500s. The name aquavit is not of Nordic origin, but it has acquired a special place in the Norwegian as well as the other Scandinavian languages. Today, aquavit is known as the Norwegian liquor and holds a special place among liquor lovers all over the world."
