  1. Hi Marko, we Danes are born slaves and prone to help our Nordic friends Glad that I finally had the chance to meet you face to face and I'll be more than happy pass your regards to the DK dealer, Oluf Fries from Casa Guzzi Servizio (he doesn't have a homepage but I'll email him) If you want to see some pics from the rally then check out the thread 'Göran, where are you?' where I've made a link. Glad to hear you liked the rally Søren PS: Say hi to Miko and Juha from me, will ya´?
  2. Hi Rich, I'll forward your link to the DK Moto Guzzi Club as several DK SP owners will be able to benefit from your job (and contribute, I hope!). Good luck with the restoration Søren
  3. Hi Göran, good to hear that you're alive I was looking for you at the Nordic Guzzi Meeting but there was no sign of you. Other members of this forum were there however, and I was glad that I finally could say hello to Juha, Miko and Marko from Finland who'd covered 900 kms from Tampere to Denmark. Well done! The price for the longest distance covered went to a Norweigian bloke who'd put down 2.600 kms all the way from Alta in Norway. Scandinavian riders aside there were also Guzzistis from Belgium, The Netherlands, England, Wales, Germany, Italy and even Hungary! One mad Italian covered 2.500 kms non stop from Padova in 30 hours! When he arrived he was so tired that we litterally had to lift him off the bike and put him in his sleeping bag.....raving madness !! We had a friendly Scandinavian tug of war contest but nobody could put up against the 4 giant Finns who all in all weighted in at around 500 kgs. Bloody giants, I tell you! A Yamaha petrol tank filled up with pebblestones was used for a little discusthrow competition You can see the first couple of pics on this thread Søren PS: Allright, I know! It should have been posted on the 'rally and meeting' thread but I got carried away. Sorry, won't do it again.
  4. LMAO Søren
  5. I asked a mate of mine who's an electrician and a motorcyclist, too (a Honda rider, though but he's ok, anyway ) He told me that there's no difference between Siemens and Bosch relays as they are produced by the same factory! In other words it's just a matter of which label they put on them. If anybody has other info please let me know so I can slag him a bit! TIA Søren
  6. As we say in Denmark: "Don't shit in your own nest!" Søren
  7. Wow! Great looking bike IMO. I've haven't seen a Griso in any of the Danish bikeshops yet, but all good things come to those who wait.... Søren
  8. Hi again, Here's the latest weather forecast for the next five days: As you can see there's no excuse for staying home so get on your bikes and come to Denmark! What intentionally should have been a Nordic Guzzi Meeting turns out to become an European rally. So far riders from UK, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Hungary and Scandinavia have signed up for the Meeting I'll be standing at the entrance on Friday and Saturday (and you can probably find me in the bar later on....) so stop by and say hi if you see me. Looking forward to seeing you. My Webpage Cheers Søren
  9. I'll echo that. My clutch is also rattling like hell but works find though. I wouldn't bother taking the clutch apart. Søren
  10. Hi Orson, thanks for sharing - I've always liked travel stories like yours. Next time head up north to Scandinavia, you can certainly find some B&B amongst the Scandinavian riders here on this forum. You're right abot Italy (and France): They are definitely two of the most beautyful countries in Europe (and the food and wine ain't that bad either.... ) Cheers Søren PS: Going to France in two weeks but I'm taking the car 'cos the entire family is going
  11. Good to hear, Tony! As Al suggests give your bike a complete overhaul and get back on the road ASAP. Søren

    Hello From Paris

Bonjour Alex, Welcome to this forum and the world of V11's. There are loads of threads you can follow if you have any inquiries regarding the pros and cons of the V11. Good luck in your search Cheers Søren
  13. Hi Jim, welcome onboard. Please have another try ref. your attached pic, please - I can't open it. Cheers Søren
  14. Yup, TX, good to see you back in action, you ol' bastard Søren
  15. Hi Dan, Sorry to hear that but welcome in the club of broken springs...... Søren PS: Mine went south at 3000 km
  16. Monsieur Bean, when I updated my Scura with Mistral oval cf cans and x-over I contacted the Agostini family in Italy. I can highly recommend them as they are very professional in customer handling. My stuff was shipped the day after ordering and the parcel landed on my front door on the day they'd promised me. Furthermore I got a tracknumber so I could follow the goodies on the Internet. Everything was in perfect order so go the Agostini way. Søren
  17. I'll echo that. I also went from the standard BT 020 to BT 014 and they work perfectly for me. I commute 110 km per day (70 miles) mostly on highways. The only corners I face on my way to work are the ones in the exit lanes and if there isn't any traffic in front of me I'll do my Valentino stunt trying to get some sparks from the foot peg. So far I haven't shit myself in the corners so I'm quite happy with BT 014. Søren

    Sunday Ride

Hi, my fellow Scuristis, I've been lurking on this post as I have Scura myself. So far I've covered 12K on it and, thank God, there's been no evidence of leaking oil from my Öhlins. Thanks to you all for posting - I've copied everything to my personal mechanical file on my PC so I don't have to spend half an hour searching for the thread later on. Cheers and happy riding to you all Søren
  19. yup, they are nice indeed Thanks Belfastguzzi! Sørren
  20. too much Grolsch, Jaap? Jokes aside, glad to hear that you are ok and get that fine bike up and running again soon, will ya? Søren
  21. I always bring spare fuses, a cell phone, registration papers, credit cards and the number for the local road assistance service, just in case. Anyway, living in Denmark where you can go cross country in 4-5 hours you don't really need anything special - there's a vast amount of petrol stations scattered around the country and you won't have to drive more than 40-50 km to find the next station. For a longer trip down Europe I'd bring spare bulbs, gas cable, instant tyre fix (the spray cans with the foam, you know) and additional tools - the standard Guzzi tools are not to much avail if you break down in i.e. Andalusia (Spain). A parlour for the various European languages is also very helpful - this one is nicked from the Danish Moto Guzzi Club homepage: check here: Regards Søren
  22. I use the tankbag every day and so far there hasn't been any scuffing whatsoever. I'm not using any protecting layer or anything so I'm quite impressed. Søren
  23. I'll second that. I went for the Oxford tankbag but I found out that my tank isn't magnetic, so back to square one. I ended up with the Guzzi tankbag as it is designed for the hump we have on our tanks. Works well and as Tim says you can also use it as a backpack. Recommendable. Cheers Søren
  24. Hi Belfastguzzi, I assume they used the new spring but I'm not sure whether they changed the pawl and the pawl arm (as we all know assumptions is the mother of all @#!#$# ups ). I was at my new dealer today, FA Motosport here in Copenhagen so they could have a look at the engine regarding the oil leak. FA Motorsport is now the new authorized Guzzi garage, so I'll have all future maintenance jobs done there. It turned ot that the mechanic just needed to change the oil switch and even better he did it on the spot free of charge. My dealer will get reimbursed by the DK importer as it turned out that the engine was poorly assembled by them. Phew..... I really feared that they had to send the Scura across the country once again so it has been a good day All warranty jobs have been free of charge. The only flip side has been the lack of wheels in the meantime. Best regards Søren
  25. Try with flowers - it always works! (done it several times and it gives you so much cred for the next couple of days.....) Søren
