  1. Are there any V!! maintenance videos on how to grease driveline and splines.- Tune up - Valve Adjustment. And others?
  2. I have another question about the 1100 sport. One of my bikes has a hose connecting the vacuum port from the right cylinder to the left cylinder. The other bikes have a cap or a plug, no hose. Would connecting the to cylinders have a bad effect on how the bike runs?
  3. Docc, You said to release clamps of the rearward rubber intakes from the back of the throttle bodies and push those rubber tubes out of the way into the airbox. Then will the throttle bodies move back to make room to install the new rubbers?
  4. Weegie Said I may need to remove the airbox. How do you do that? Lucky Phil, I'm sorry but I don't understand your post. Could you please explain how to replace the boots again Step By step, It sounds like a big job.
  5. I just noticed that the rubber intake boots have cracks in them. I don't know if this is part of the problem or not. How hard of a job is it to change them, I read someone here talk about soaking them in hot water and using grease on them to install. What's the correct way to change them, do you need to remove the the tank and airbox? I also heard about using SHIN-ETSU grease on them.
  6. I'll check the sensors. The sprint air filter is like a k&n. TPS is spot on 156.5MV. Throttle bodies look to be balanced on the carb mate but any adjustments do not help
  7. yes injected
  8. My 1997 1100 sport ran fine. Then I installed a sprint air filter and Mistral exhaust, Now the bike runs like crap. Could I have a problem with one of the connections under the gas tank when I installed the air filter?
  9. I don't see the upcoming race listed on NBC TV
  10. I just purchased a 1997 1100 sport that arrived without a steering damper. Dose anyone have one to sell to me?
  11. Will do. What cable lube do you use?
  12. I guess they just unplug. I will label with tape and take a picture. Thanks DOCC
  13. Yes it Is.
  14. My odometer stopped working on my 1997 1100 sport. I want to send it to Joel Livine. The fairing is off, Speedo cable is off, The bolts holding the cluster are off and it is ready to be removed , But what do I do with all the wires that connect to the upper part of the cluster. Do they just unplug? I don't want to break anything. What is the correct way to remove it?
  15. Hi Leroysch, I sent you a PM message

    1100 Sport

After NM-1 finds his 1100 sport, I'm looking for another nice 1100 sport my self. Please let me know if there's another one available.
  18. The trip meter and speedo are still working so the cable should be OK. I would think the gears must be worn on the odometer. It looks like the front fairing needs to come off to remove the speedometer.
  19. My odometer stopped working on the 1100 sport. How hard is it to remove the speedo?
  20. I still have the stock air box inlets that pull air into the air box from the front of the bike that are held on with hose clamps. Are there advantages to removing them and will removing them give the bike a better intake howl?
  21. Hey Docc You hit the nail on the head. I pulled the relays dried with hair drier, Sprayed them for now with Ams oil metal protector. Lights came on and bike started up. The #2 relay is the 2nd from the rear of the bike. Thanks for the help.
  22. So you don"t think the wet conditions had anything to do with the relay failure? Also witch relay would #2 be?
  23. I took my 1997 1100 sport out yesterday, It than started to drizzle fairly heavy. First my Tac stopped working, then the neutral light went out. Then the head light went out, Then the bike started to run poorly, The longer I rode the bike stated missing and then died and left my stranded. After having it towed home I found that the battery was dead. What could have gotten wet to cause a charging problem? The bike ran fine in dry conditions. This was the first time that I rode when it was wet. The bike is fairly new to me, I rode it about 900 mile since I bought it. The battery was fine before the ride.
