  1. She's starting to get sorted out. Plugged the mirror mount holes in the fairing and went to a neat set of bar ends. Like them so much I'm thinking about putting some on the Coppa. Used the cheapo Amazon wraparound fork mount signals. Double sided mounting tape with 1/2" aluminum angle, just below the headlights. Baffles in the pipes, didn't make them much quieter but they have a deeper burble. I've never been a big fan of traction control, I've always thought you should hone skills the old fashion way. I still think that but if you know how to ride well without it it's a pure joy when you put the two together and ride with it. And quickshifters are awesome

  7. Possibly a problem with the alternator. Stator may be getting ready to let go or the rotor magnet is weak. Also look for any burning or corrosion at alternator to regulator connector. Check the resistance across all of the wires with respect to each other at the connector from the alternator. It should be nearly the same. An additional test is to check the AC voltage at each wire with respect to ground when the bike is running. It should be similar for each. I'm not sure what the actual voltage number is on our alternators but Docc probably knows.

  10. I'm planning on coming but for a 6 1/2 hour ride I'll probably wimp out and bring the Norge.
  11. The V7 is a little jewel. Light, handling is superb, you just notice it running out of a little oomph when you up to speed or accelerating for passing.
  12. Needs mirrors and front signals. Going with bar end mirrors and led signals above the running lights. Ordered passenger pegs mounts so Lisa can ride along.

  15. Think it was due to crap on the pads. Thanks to the 18th Annual Spine Rainery it seems to have cleaned out.
  16. Bled brakes and changed fluid yesterday. Caliper fine. Goes rhonk rhonk rhonk (warped brake rotor noises). Piston stuck some last year and I think it's catching up with it. I can still ride, not an issue. Just annoying hearing Rhonk Rhonk Rhonk.
  17. Had three rainstorms between Asheville and Robbinsville. About the time I dried out here would come another one.
  18. If anyone has a spare rear brake rotor I could use it. Mine warped a little on the way here.
