I have often had the same thoughts The problem is I would find it difficult to part with my black Griso which I’ve owned for the past 11 years. I have the same problems with my various V11 Sports purchased before I acquired the Coppa & RC; I can’t really bear to sell them, and IMO the red frame models are different enough to the black framed Ohlins equipped specials to justify keeping them all This photo of my Griso, Coppa & RC is weird. The wide angle has stretched the wheelbases of the Griso & RC

Yay, it does seem somewhat crazy. I was recently offered the opportunity to buy one of the only 2 original Coppa’s in the UK, & I couldn’t let it pass me by. I don’t really want to sell any of the others

It was registered in 2006. I assume the bike would have been built in 2005. I guess I can check the build year from the engine no.

I find the new Stelvio based on the V100 too tall. A V85 will be the next Guzzi. But I’ve now reached peak bike storage capacity

No, still the same no. I understand there were originally 2, supplied by Forza Italia & Twiggers. I have purchased one of these. Another has recently been imported from Japan, so there’s 3 Coppas in the UK

Purchased another V11 ! Pick it up at the weekend. This one compliments the Rosso Corsa, ie. another “limited edition” model Here’s a clue …

The weathers been so bad here, as summer rapidly recedes in the rear view mirror, that I was confined to the workshop this weekend. Greenie sump & timing chain covers off for powder coating, Roper plate to be fitted, tatty belly pan, side panels, fender etc to be resprayed…just hoping the paint shop does their job with color matching this Guzzi green

Yeah, back in the day, during the 60s & 70s, it was a word we used a lot. In fact in my later teenage years the pursuit of this activity seemed to be the main aim in life -

OK, slightly off topic, but just look at these Norton Commando ads from the early 1970s. Whoever wrote the copy for these ads - Rideability ? Is this referring to the Norton or something else - genius! -

There’s a Morgan plus 8 in the background. I’ll take the Moggie or the Daytona. Ms Saucy looks even higher maintenance -
Another gratuitous action shot of me on my burgundy Sport, photoshopped to remove the water mark, it resulted in the Guzzi logo disappearing from the alternator cover

Not the only Coppa Italia in the UK. I know of one, & have been asked by its owner if I’m interested in buying it. Clearly he thinks that as I already have 5 various V11s including a Rosso Corsa, I’d be interested in buying his. He’s correct, you can never have enough V11s. The question is, what’s a Coppa Italia worth? This one is good, but not perfect. It’ll require new tyres, battery, fluids, consumables etc, but it’s a fundamentally sound bike with great paintwork. It’s difficult to put a market value on a Coppa Italia as they are rare, & if we are realistic, with any old Guzzi apart from possibly the MK1 Le Mans (and I have a friend currently considering selling his virtually perfect MK1) and the Daytona, classic Guzzi’s aren’t really that sought after in the eyes of some motorcycle enthusiasts. As with anything they are only worth what someone will offer on the day Any guidance from all you Guzzistas would be gratefully appreciated

Indeed, can’t blame the cat being pissed off over such a charade. Our Hamish would have your hand shredded if anyone tried to bundle him into such a daft outfit. Here he is doing what cats do, he’s very focused on being a cat
