I like the idea of getting a proper diagnostic before an intervention. In the case of a V11, the piecemeal approach is the only one available at this time, for motorbikes who are no longer in production. The evolution of electronics have now gone to the point where equipment can alert the user of a malfunction, even ahead of time, and in some cases, identify the exact component that needs to be calibrated or replaced. I am not necessarily referring to the automotive industry. The trial and error has been the method of choice for decades before the Predictive Maintenance replaced it. We had to use oscilloscopes to monitor analogical signals, and rely upon our skills to pick the module that did not perform as expected. Verify the components, find the culprit, and verify the problem is no longer there. Sometimes, there were no clear cut answer. So we had to change components and test again, and repeat. Back to V11, there are a series of checks and tune ups that have been proposed elsewhere in the forum, and it is up to the individual to acquire the necessary tools, or to find a workshop to delegate the task. I have purchased all the equipment, but before I start intervening, I am in the testing phase. I am making sure the problem can be reproduced, and how and when it happens. That, and taking stoke of the other owner's experience as reported in the various forums. I wish it was straight forward, but it never is. I may live with the V11's coughing every now and then, or I will try to get it better. But I will proceed by steps.

Life after knee replacement.

It would be easy to tell you to never give up. I am four years younger than you are, and I had to give up on something I have done for a good part of my life because of a decaying ability. I think it comes down to how at ease you will be when you try to ride again, and how safe you will feel when you are on the motorbike. As long as you still experience the good vibrations, then don't look at the rest. -
@Kane Although I found someone EUR based willing to receive the tinned enclosed fishes, I am unable to complete the transaction on their website. I have some people looking out for these in supermarkets, but none of them live in Brittany. The lady who answered once is no longer communicating. Not giving up...

@dbarb3 I am 6' too. The Le Mans fairing is surprisingly effective; without lowering my torso to hid behind the cupola. The wind draft still hits the top of your helmet though, it did affect me at the beginning, but I am fine now. I must have built some neck strength. My biggest gripe is the wind noise in my helmet. I do not wear ear plugs, or in ear audio that would reduce my awareness on the road. My Shark Helmet is supposed to be reasonably "silent", even if not the best in this department. After my latest outing, about six hours of effective riding, I experienced Tinnitus. I have to admit that it may not be entirely related to Motorcycle riding. I also have played electric guitar for a long part of my life....

Unfortunately, after that initial response three days ago, she has not answered my "how do we make it happen?" Not really surprised. They have a website setup to do online sales, however you cannot use their system if you have an address in the USA. The list of countries is locked. They are not geared up to sale outside of Europe. Probably one transaction is not worth their while? I am going to check if I can use a "relay".

House-Tuning: anyone used them? they reprogram Moto Guzzi V11 ECUs;
p6x replied to p6x's topic in Technical Topics
It's in Italy, and this is what they say you can get: http://www.house-tuning.de/en/pagina/editor/whereare/#table But if there is only one item that should make you want to go there, it is Coffee; only in Italy do they understand what a good coffee should be! -
Do want the three graphic designs, or exclusively the one with the Moto Guzzi?https://www.laquiberonnaise.fr/sardines-millesimees/235-sardines-a-l-huile-d-olive-sans-arete-millesimees.html I think that when you order the 3 lot, you get the 3 different designs. Which can work to our advantage. We can keep the Guzzi looking ones and eat the others.

From what I understood, 250 EUR is for the full service. You bring the vehicle, wait in the lounge, and drive out once done. -
So I finally got a reply; but they want to sell 20kg... one tin is 0.115 kg; so that would make a total of 174 tins lol... I could open up a shop and start selling Sardines. Tell me how many you would want. One tin is 6.00 EUR TTC; or 3 for 16 EUR. Then I will check what is the best shipping cost we can get.

If you talking about unsealing the bezel from the gauge, it is not very difficult. You need to pry it out with a very thin blade. Don't use the only screwdriver you could find. Use something thin with a large blade to minimize the damage you could cause to the plastic rim of the bezel. When sealing it back, use some very light glue, so you may be able to open it again if you need to.

@Kane I went through the motion to order, unfortunately, USA is not among the list. They don't answer their phone so far. But I can order to ship in France, and have someone to forward it to me after. I will make a few more attempts on phone. Before I do that, I need to check if Sardines can be imported in the USA/Texas.

If you like Sardines, I can recommend Portugal, the Algarve coast where Sardines are like Foie Gras for the French. Besides the food, the Algarve would make your Moto Guzzi happy. Portugal is one of the cheapest European country to visit or to live in. Somewhat, nobody speaks much about it. We hear about Spain, Italy, UK, Germany, The Netherlands, but Portugal never gets mentioned. I spent time here https://www.hotelquintadolago.com/ Each evenings I was going to the Faro city to get Sardines. https://wetravelportugal.com/sardines-portugal/

What do you think? its still a prototype, that is why no turn indicators. AntePrima would translate as Sneak Peak (no pun intended). After watching the video, if I was not on a Le Mans, I could possibly be on a Multistrada Pikes Peak. Obviously, this is going to be another 25K dollars with all the bells and whistles described.

7th Stop: Etape #38; La Salle Statue From his real name, René Robert Cavelier, "Sieur de la Salle". A French guy who is recorded for is settlement in the Matagorda bay (where the statue is), laying the foundation for the United States' Texas claim. This is what riding a Moto Guzzi leads to.... historical discovery. It is about a 300 miles ride, or 580 km for those of us using the metric system. 6 hours of Guzzi ride, with two stops at Wharton "Buc'ees. If you do not know Buc'ees is a Texas based chain. They have these Texas built gas stations with numerous pumps and all the services to go with them. That includes immaculate bathrooms. They have grown very popular and at migration times, no matter how large, they get so crowded that they need police to organize traffic... According to the narrative written around the Statue, this guy was quite the deal: BORN IN ROUEN, FRANCE, NOVEMBER 22, 1643. CAME TO CANADA IN 1666. FOUNDED A FIRST SETTLEMENT NEAR MONTREAL. LED SEVERAL EXPEDITIONS ON THE GREAT LAKES AND THE OHIO AND ILLINOIS RIVERS. COMPLETED THE EXPLORATION OF THE MISSISSIPPI 1682. ON JULY 24, 1684, LA SALLE SAILED FROM FRANCE TO ESTABLISH A COLONY AT THE MOUTH OF THE MISSISSIPPI. LANDED AT MATAGORDA BAY FEBRUARY 15, 1685. THERE ESTABLISHED FORT ST LOUIS WHILE ON HIS WAY TO CANADA. HE WAS MURDERED NEAR THE TRINITY RIVER MARCH 19, 1687. A GENTLEMAN BUT NOT A COURTIER, A PROUD INDEPENDENT YET TIMID NATURE. AN EXPLORER OF BOLD VISION AND UNTIRING ENERGY. LA SALLE'S COLONY ON MATAGORDA BAY GAVE THE UNITED STATES ITS FIRST CLAIM TO TEXAS AS A PART OF THE LOUISIANA PURCHASE AMERICA OWES HIM AN ENDURING MEMORY FOR IN THIS MASCULINE MOURES SHE SEES THE PIONEER, WHO GUIDED HER TO THE POSSESSION OF HER RICHEST HERITAGE. FRANCES PARK - Indianola was devoid of any soul, I really enjoyed being surrounded by nothing but the windy breeze! -
Here's the "About us" page: http://www.house-tuning.de/en/pagina/editor/whoare/#table They are based in Italy, they apparently have specific maps for the Moto Guzzi V11; http://www.house-tuning.de/en/moto/model/3646-moto-guzzi-V11-Le-Mans-1100cc-E0-91cv/#table They offer various services, including an interface to read ECU, for cars. Anyone knows them? they seem to be based in Italy although the URL of their website and inquiry email ends in .de They sell 250 EUR the map for a V11. Would the file be usable with GuzziDiag? I have not looked at what format is required, but it may be easy to port the map to be uploaded via the Lonelec interface?

Ducati's new model: the DesertX -
p6x replied to p6x's topic in Special place for banter and conversation
That's what I thought too when I first looked at the bike. Even if on one of the pics, there is "scrambler" written. Why would they chase KTM on something they have a lot of experience with? KTM does the Paris Dakar each year, officially. Will Ducati join? -

As with the KTM Adventure, a little tire change, and you can even get it more versatile. -
Follow the link: https://www.moto.it/news/ducati-world-premiere-le-novita-2022-c-e-la-desertx.html There are plenty of photos.... It explains why Moto Guzzi came up with the V100; although the DesertX is designed to be at ease off road.
