I remember using such connections when I was working at the AMX. Some of the tanks had a lot of hydraulics on them, such as the AMX 30 Pluton, AMX 30D. I thought we used JIC fittings on them, but I can't remember very well. I do remember those hydraulic connections with o'rings on them, and they failled easily. Metal to Metal is best for high pressure hydraulics.

Now that you have mentioned it, yes too...

I get it. Because of the antlers ressemblance?

For no reason I remembered this song from Umberto Tozzi and Monica Belucci; this came out in 1977 and became all the rage in France... During the vacations in the South, the whole camping had radios playing that song... listening to it today, it is obviously corny, but still, going back in time, I finally get it. You can sing it to your Monica Guzzi too! -
I did... The dreaded 150 miles limit which I have tested several times in the remote area of Texas. 200 miles would really be ideal.

I don't know if many have watched the talk show, but if they did at least for the frst few seconds, then hopefully they will now know how to say Guzzi the right way!!!!

After several days of riding, I am happy to report the tachometer works like new, looks like new, and is steady at all sustained rpm; the speedometer is a bit fluctuating at low speed, which I am guessing is due to the cable not turning smoothly in its sheath. As soon as speed goes above 20 mph, the phenomenum stops. So far, I am very happy with the Quota. Of course, it is not as smooth as the V11. It is really jerky in 1st gear. The autonomy seems to be better than when I came back from Arizona. But that needs to be confirmed. I managed 47 mpg to and from Brenham.

This thing...

I do it all the time... the "pas" or "pitch" in English for a Metric thread is measured between two pitch either dip or tops. As it is clearly said, a screw is characterized by its external diameter and its pitch. M10 has either 1mm or 1.25mm. Using a graduated ruler on the screw that goes inside the banjo, you can determine the pitch. Now explain to me what would be very difficult, so I can laugh too...

Maybe the owner has kept it in running state?

You know that you can use a ruler to measure the distance between the top of two threads? 1 mm should be quite easy. The screw threads into a softer material, so it makes perfect sense to have a fine pitch.

Not as much as you think... I have met one guy salivating in front of the Elvis Bonneville, telling me he would have bought it, just to keep it. Could not because he just had purchased an Indian FTR. Then there are all the Panigale which have been ridden by the MotoGP "Crème de la Crème" during the Ducati event. All those are probably never going to see the light of the day ever. Just out of curiosity, what do you do to resuscitate a 1993 Daytona that only ever did 11 miles? put oil, gas, brake fluid, battery and off you go?

Why not? What about eBay motors? you can set a reserve so you get minimum what your ask price is. Your price is right! I have checked my usual reference: check that link below; https://www.moto.it/moto-usate/ricerca?brand=moto-guzzi&model=moto-guzzi%2Fdaytona-1000®ion=&kw= I am glad that I don't have any room for a third motorcycle, let alone two. That saves me from purchasing it! but I am not a collector. I would ride it relentlessly!

I did not even know what Guzziology was about. Thanks for educating me!
