    8V Engine issues

Thanks pete and GuzziMoto for your replies the local dealer is supposed to be good, or he was when I had my V11. I might have a off the cuff discussion, and ask what they do if a bike is brought in, and if they follow the Guzzi procedure. Or carry out the additional work as recommended by pete. watch this space as they say Dave
  3. I'm looking into getting a 2011 0r 2012 1200s. Has the issue with the cams etc been put to rest or are there monsters still lurking. is there any specific engine number that is sure fire no longer having problems. I've been holding back on buying one of these for a while . looked at a couple of stelvios up for sale and noticed they have a very heavy clutch. is this normal, or a clean and lube job. they all had between 12--15000 miles on
  4. All the best roads in Yorkshire, ideal for the Corsa but I've defected at the moment, have a Guzzi with hanging Tits
  5. 2 of west yorkshires rosso corsa's, both with titanium cans
  6. I'd also check the inlet rubber mount, prone to cracking, mine went and sounded like an old compressor

    mpg ?

with Ti cans and ECU I used to get 52 British MPG, ridden in economy mode 56. John in Leeds used to be about 5mpg less for the same run at the same time, when we had runs out. Fuel light worked when it felt like it, so relied on the trip meter and filled at 150 miles
  10. touring the alps at the moment, 10 deg c bloddy raining again. went over glossglockner was turned round half way, closed due to snow. Gerloss just very wet, just like been at home then really
  11. pair of axle stands if available under the pok chops. put something under the chops so that they don't become scratched whilst on the stands, I have found it very stable in use
  12. Hi Guy other than damp in the works what did you make of the Zumo. Did the mount fail in use or while left out in the rain with the zumo off, there is reports on the zumo site of the rubber boot perishing that covers the contacts when not in use Had my zumo for about 6 week, only used it in the van so far, still getting to grips with it, it doesn't seem logical after 4 years with tomtom3, I like the route log facilitie though. going to the Austrian Alps at the weekend so how it copes then, going on the blackbird though. must admit made a mistake there, I will be buying e guzzi again when I come back, half fancy 1200s Dave
  13. The position of the calliper looks fine, inclined to think its a build up of crud or a sticking piston As been said by others, a good clean up required Dave
  14. guzzi owner post the pics of your calliper problem then we can see if we are all on the right track I have had the same as martin, dirt build up in the calliper and sticking brake pedal
  15. two corsa's out for a blast Me and John had a run out while the weather is still good
