  1. I suppose red Ferrari's have run their course as well Phil? I was raised properly so all I will say is that's a beautiful and formidable machine you have there, there's only one thing I might change. Just curious is your ST2 yellow too?
  2. Thats the one! It looks better in your pic. The half fairing is actually really cool, but I still prefer red.
  3. I love those high clip-ons on with the fairing. It's like the perfect motorcycle.
  4. If memory serves me it was a 98 or 99 with like 5000 miles and the guy wanted $3800. It sat on craigslist for a month in the middle of summer. I also love the late80's Gsx-R bikes with the big dual headlights. If the guy would have been selling one of these I might never have stumbled on to my v-11. I'm glad I got the Guzzi but this is one sexy bike.
  5. I almost bought a beautiful low mileage Ducati 900 SS desmo before I saw my V-11. It only had the 1/2 fairing which I could have dealt with, but I couldn't come to terms with the yellow paint. I don't know how much people are actually getting for the v-11 variants I've seen listed but the asking prices seem to have gone up some since I've been paying attention. When I start to add up how much it has cost me to un-customize my V-11 to my satisfaction in addition to regular maintenance and upkeep, the prospect of a profit at the end is highly unlikely. I better keep my day job.
  6. One day I'm going to treat myself to one of those belly pans for my bike.
  7. Is it this spring? Gearbox Selector Spring & Pawl Arm repair
  8. It's sitting on a shelf in my garage. I have no use for it. It's far from perfect and I'm certainly not looking to get rich from it. I could send some good pics if you want to PM me a #.
  9. The previous owner thought it to be a TT. When I bought it this past July It had a Tenni cowl, and a homemade brake light attached to the fender bracket.
  10. r Seat cowl arrived from Germany safe and sound. Rear fender/mudguard all sorted out. Next project is cracked ABS starter cover and left side cover.

  12. Thanks very much. It's a work in progress.
  13. I was able to find one of these (the luggage rack not the bike) on Ebay Italy. It should be arriving this week. Not sure exactly who makes it, but I liked it better than the hepco becker. The MG ones seem way nicer both build quality and style. At least from the looks of the welds!
  14. I sure am. Thanks for the heads up Docc! I was on here last night and never noticed the post. Snooze you lose! I'll keep looking
  15. Its presently -3 C and it will probably go down to -15 tonight, it's supposed to top out around 0 all week. February is more of the same with no real relief until the middle of March. What can I say it's home! I don't think anyone really chooses Detroit, I was born here and the people were nice so I stayed. It gives me a chance to search the globe for V11 parts. Thank you guys again for taking time to get me pointed in the right direction. Much appreciated. Happy New Year
  16. I didn't notice until you pointed it out. Yet another benefit of the proper part. it will close the gap I didn't even know I had! Now that all my seat cowl issues have been solved my biggest problem is the 6 inches of fresh snow that fell last night. It's a tough time of year up north.
  17. This is terrific news gentlemen!! Thanks for your insight! I guess I put too much faith in the labeling of the fiche. Happy New Year
  18. The whole rear end of the bike was bastardized 2 owners before I got it. The previous owner started getting the parts to restore it together but sold the bike to me in July due to health trouble. If I'm reading you correctly I accidentally purchased the correct part? All the factory 2001 v11 sports have the soft document pouch?
  19. Thats part of where my confusion begins! My bike is a 2001 and the cowl is the flimsy later type with the rigid document holder. I had concluded they went to this design after 2000 on the sport bikes and it was not in conjunction with the lengthening of all the other frames in 2002. That was my take based on my recent research.
  20. That's what I'm thinking. I believe the earlier version is an actually an upgrade. I'm willing to sacrifice the larger document storage area. lol Thanks very much!! Happy New Year All!
  21. Harpers Fiche has been invaluable trying to put humpty dumpty back together again.
  22. I went back V 11 SPORT/MANDELLO 1100 1998-2000 in the 1990 to 1999 part.
