  3. Omobono from the Latin homo bonus “good man”... What a life story eh! Born in a alpine mountain pasture hut, high above the city of Tirano, learned to be a mechanic before becoming a fearless moto racer... And the hair!! Anywho, that was fun! Thanks CDR for the cheesey quiz, I’ll take the crapprize. They’ll be added to the pile, ready for the upcoming rejuvenation of the Café Sport, besides, I never win anything so that makes me feel better

  6. Hey Docc, @docc do you think we could pin this thread.. I think it's a good resource for people in the market instead of posting external ads piecemeal in the classified section.

  9. After 6 years without running, I would take the injectors out and have them professionally cleaned and tested, replace fuel filter and make sure you have fresh fuel in the tank.
  10. Advertised prices in Europe are always listed including VAT, when shipped outside the euro zone that tax is taken off.
  11. Not so good if you have money tied up in a euro zone country…

  13. I couldn’t help noticing that warning from Euromotoelectrics against the use of that particular regulator with Odyssey batteries.. as well as lithium iron batteries. A lot of us run Odyssey’s in our bikes, any thoughts from those with experience running both in conjunction?
  14. FWIW, I found this distributor in the UK with fair pricing & shipping to US. https://www.diycarserviceparts.co.uk/intermotor-crank-sensor-18783.html
  15. Try tapping and holding on the picture, it should bring up a sub menu with a copy option.
  16. Looks like you’re all set for an epic adventure... Have fun, ride safe!! Gorgeous bike btw
  17. This is really a sad day, the tragic loss of the owner/founder of the Ghetto first and foremost but also the prospect of losing the invaluable trove of technical knowledge and information assembled there over all these years. I’ve been a member there since 2017 after I got my first Guzzi, a Griso and although I rarely posted, being new to the marque and to forums in general, I got to learn so much just reading from all the knowledgeable folks there. It inspired me and gave me confidence to perform all maintenance on my bike and I was always able to find answers to my questions with a simple search through the forum. I really hope someone will be able to pick-up the baton and preserve the forum for Steve/‘Steak’ legacy and the future of the Griso community.

  19. Saw this one on eBay, not cheap and showing a few scars but looks structurally sound.. https://www.ebay.com/itm/384510691071?hash=item59869f86ff:g:02MAAOSwD4BhmKCF&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAA8HuTxwnzluWSj9Zt1B5fM2%2BdNblehEreT5tJIWwDy0OKe3FTBCuDb48yRFsXf1TDJx8%2FQ%2BzZsgmhaXQeVInAGlbfgvp5xyWiA2N%2Bjuxl0AscMwTVBFRLnsE3JMJS9DCz8vdd3wG%2B4g4VcjcLaFNGLacpYZPI4qefaACEbg33YmInKfxmYUEFnpPVmDQdlRMOqBco2sxeKmK3ZjAwNgvCFBoDsNNQyI9%2B4V2FDOqsQVHQ09kxn%2Bqgg2Ge82cAdj76VrXbXejuCJGRbdPlwFbPEm9isAM%2BTyTXsit0Wr%2B4DGHTKL%2BZPEoNe3%2FGe7JGmH36Ww%3D%3D|tkp%3ABk9SR_aQ673iYA

  22. Thank you Roper-san for the seal of approval.. everybody sees the light now... Actually this has been known for quite sometime now, first on WG, courtesy of Mr. Pete Roper again: https://wildguzzi.com/forum/index.php?topic=78120.0 on which thread I believe you participated. Also discussed here more recently: https://www.v11lemans.com/forums/index.php?/topic/20295-valpollini-rocker-cover-gaskets/page/2/#comment-269462
  23. The general consensus on this and other MG boards has been that these are the best valve cover gaskets available for your V11 ➔ Valpolini. Here: https://www.mgcycle.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=4634:18fc72d8b8aba03a4d84f66efabce82e Or for any other square head 2V big blocks for that matter..
  24. When I was a kid growing up in a small town, I remember my parents spinning stories among friends and neighbors about that one butcher and how it should be avoided to buy sausages from him. It was said that his sausages were filled, among other things, with wood chips scraped from the chopping block... and anybody that’s been in an old butcher shop has seen that massive worn out chopping block and how much wood is missing from this thing.. (the psychology factor..) I don’t know how much of that stemmed from local lore or misguided bias toward that particular butcher shop but it sure made a lasting impression on little me. I try not to think about it when I’m at the grill with a stack of wieners.. Grill’ em until crisp and enjoy with your favorite topping and please, please put away that pocky digital temperature thingy you just wielded out of your pocket. Intermezzo finito, I’ll go back to my corner now..
  25. Very familiar That Scura was sold by @KINDOY2 only two or three months ago... Beautiful specimen!
