  1. 5C charging in China 10-80% in ten minutes
  2. Well, I think Kale bought a hydro valve 04 EV motor for around 500-750-ish then crated, shipped freight to his door with shipping cost (California to KY). I think he rode it last spring to Road Atlanta, runs good. The transmission was also salvaged before, it’s a solution.
  3. https://suncoastcyclesports.com/v11-sport/ https://mototech271.com/collections/moto-guzzi?page=10 Maybe you could price a used transmission or motor from salvage places like Sun Coast Cycle sports or Mototech. My original V11 Sport's transmission blew out then later the oil intake on the motor starved the engine. Both were replaced by lower mileage units, painted to match and put back into operation. Reach out to Kale for more info but it is an option.
  4. Nice, I agree buy what you want no rules. I’m in the elevator industry that uses AC regen drives. Traction elevator is counter weighted 40% capacity, so an empty car up produces power back to the line. EV’s to me are about technology not saving the world or the whales, whatever. So you don’t have to be a Green Peace member for ownership. I’ve been to the Indian Pow Wow Maggie Valley, rode buddies FTR’s. Its an American made lead sled, too heavy for out right sport bike work but V-twin sounds awesome, it’s a hooligan ride, not a tourer. On another note Lucky Phil, you and DucatiGuzziIndian inspire me to find a V11Sport Greenie.
  5. Both of these cars are available in US, range test at 70mph was around 370. Like Chuck, I get out of the car every couple hours give or take. For me 370 range is farther than my bladder’s anyway but that’s another story. If you put the destination in the car, it will stop you at Superchargers, typically around bathrooms & food.
  6. LowRyter you are correct the Chinese are in hyper speed developing EV cars. Whats interesting to me is how you can see elements of SAIC partnership bits in these new models. Like you said Porsche, VW, GM and other styling elements clearly “borrowed” from legacy car makers. Add that most of these Chinese brands make cell phone batteries or are battery makers have a cost advantage on manufacturing the battery. Kyle from Out of Spec loved it, it’s legit. The only thing saving Tesla is their thrifty innovative factory production and FSD software thats still ahead, barely. Solid state tech is promising much longer range and quicker charging which will be a game changer. A new Tesla model 3 rwd long range has 375 range, which is really good for lithium battery car.
  7. Lamborghini Countach has always been a halo movie car. Cannonball Run movie for example….
  8. Two work cars in driveway only- 23 Tesla Model Y & 21 Lexus GX460. But we own our motorcycles…priorities
  9. Touring in a vintage Italian car….sounds good to me.
  10. I’ve had to replace a tire due to puncture and two bottles of washer fluid in just under 50k miles. It’s the best selling car in the world for a reason, it’s easy to live with and does most things well for a reasonable price. Software updates (FSD) & Supercharging are next level. The Chinese copied the Model 3 & Y and are taking over the world (read BYD). Elon is Elon, good or bad, I don’t know of anyone whose Space company lands their reusable rocket boosters vertically much less catches the heavy boosters with “chopsticks” on the launch tower. Nobody, not even the Chinese. Unfortunately I don’t have winter tires, we’ve had a lot of snow lately, my model Y has done well, if the rear kicks out, the traction control is quick to draw it back in line. Brilliant car.
  11. I have fond childhood memories of my parents partying (late at night) listening to Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey Buckingham-
  12. Nice example, high mount exhaust with plenty of carbon fiber Farkle.
  13. Branding in image only doesn’t work. VW recently invested billions into Rivian, then basically restyled their SUV & Trucks to mimick the mighty Scout. My grandfather worked and retired at IH Louisville stamping factory. I have a deep appreciation for IH Scout and would like to buy a refurbished Scout one day. But not a badge engineered styling exercise derivative of Rivian.
  14. How about Volkswagen owned branding of the Old International Scout? Scout Motors.....
  15. I had to Google them too, "How to destroy a brands value"
  16. Having ridden & owned both, Japanese & Italian motorcycles, it boils down to character. Guzzi’s IMO look great and rumble and emit soul every time you ride. My dad bought a 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS in metallic Candy tone Brown/Orange, it sparkled in the sun light. Was set up for torque so only 110HP, making it a very street-able rider. The stainless 4-1 exhaust, wheels, and overall fit and finish was excellent. He traded at the KY Guzzi rally w Carl (Gateway) for a brand new Blue 23 V7 Special. Also beautiful, oozing w Guzzi character that he doesn’t ride due to the transmission, full of um…character, I.e. clunky 1st to 2nd upshifts, which must have been assembled on a Friday. I would own both bikes and be happy, even dad’s V7 with transmission issues, but I think the guy in the video likes the distinctly smooth running, Japanese made, um… character-less Z900RS.
  17. Docc, if you don't use them on the Sport I bet a compact car could use them.
  18. Is a Tenni more rare than a Rosso Corsa, Nero Corsa? Maybe Is it a better bike than a Coppa Italia or Scura with their Ohlins suspension? Nope It is a beautiful model of a V11 Lemans? Absolutely
  19. Docc looks stock but could it be a 2002 rear wheel installed on an 01? Would it even fit?
  20. Bill Hagan was known as "Ballabio Bill" in early Spine Raids per Docc's event notes.
