  1. The first time I saw a GTV up close was at Tuskeegee Motel near Robbinsville NC one morning. There was an Italian car get together at Deals Gap that weekend, old Fiats were all over the place (read broken down X1/9’s on the sides of the rode broken down). Long story short, later that morning I followed the GTV & a 164 Quadrifoglio give chase to a Ferrari on the Cherohala Skyway. I was on my new 1998 Honda Super Hawk 996 w carbon Two brothers cans, winding it up behind them. I kept getting hit in the helmet by rubber coming off the tires as they drifted the rear going thru the corners, the drivers were legit, the cars handled the road amazingly. I will never forget what a treat that day truly was for me, first time on the Cherohala & the cool Alfa’s being properly aired out.
  2. Very Nice Fuel Cooler! I just bought a V11 Sport this year after selling my first one in 2004. The folks on V11Lemans are as good as it gets to help you with any issues you need to sort out.
  3. Yeah, the question "is it because of a chip shortage or demand?" Or is the dollar just worth less, a whole lot less.
  4. I agree, it’s a 6K bike. Right now almost all of these V11 Sports are 6k give or take 500. Once sorted out, they are pretty much priceless. I wouldn’t get rid of mine for nothing.
  5. Rox- most V11 sports are running on a 2nd or more, speedometer/tach.

  7. Better sounding video for reference...
  8. I happen to like the Royal Enfield Interceptors but thought they were weak on power. The Big bore kit helps this out, & the parallel twin sounds righteous with open exhaust.

  10. Wow.....

  12. I’m still in on a carbon seat cover, where are we in the process of actually getting them made?
  13. Doc, I agree with every detail of your assessment of the Greenie. At this point they don’t make them, our current US inflation hit dollar is crap when buying used cars and most Motorsports purchases, even from just a couple years ago. I recently bought a super clean Rosso, then still had to sort it out, w debris build up in all of the hydraulic lines, replace a blown up rear brake caliper, lastly a faulty stop/run switch. The cosmetic’s of the Rosso weren’t up to my standards of “super clean”, but I invested the time & energy to make it right. BTW, the Rosso will never be sold again, never letting this one go like I did my Silver red frame. The US market on most these V11 sports is around 6k give or take, so that Greenie isn’t way off, maybe should be 5-5.5k upon closer inspection. IF you wanted a Greenie, (personally I do, but my wife would kill me if I brought another bike home right now), then it’s an opportunity to buy & own a cool bike.

  16. If I had the money I would buy this bike...... The question is it worth it? https://www.cycletrader.com/listing/1988-Honda-RC30-5018309410

  20. Its a complete shame for Suzuki to pull the plug, both riders are legit contenders. I'm not positive but I thought Suzuki was the last inline 4 on the grid. They always seemed to take care of their tires better that showed up at the end of the race, typically with a podium. https://www.motorsportmagazine.com/articles/motorcycles/motogp/why-inline-four-motogp-bikes-handle-better-than-v4-motogp-bikes
  21. I've only owned the bike for a short time but I think the Rosso Mandello is gorgeous version of the V11. Ventura recommends facing the bag forward for weight distribution and aerodynamics. Clearly it looks like I need to order a smaller EVO bag, but I like the fact that the mounting system design lets you see the bike when used. I don't plan on using a tank bag for the same reason. I sport toured back in the day on a brand new silver 2001 V11 Sport with Techno bags and large tank bag, in a new season I guess.
  22. New Pirelli rear arrived to fit to my silver Sport the problem is how do I transport this tyre on the bike to the fitting shop, a journey of around 12 miles. I have no “steamer trunk” sized luggage system ! Don’t really want to bungee the tyre to the pillion seat either. Maybe devise some way of carrying it on my back ? Any ideas?
