Cool! I believe they bolt in place of your foot peg location. I expect they also came with a bit of adjustable linkage.

Speedfrog, I agree. Also, as I explore MDI a bit further, I see there are choices. For me, trying to match my CF bikini fairing, I'd order the matte weave style.

I have to pull the tank just to correct the leak. It may be as easy as tightening the hose clamp. I really think it just needs to crank a bit longer, fingers crossed. I hope to try this coming weekend, I'll report back! Thanks so much docc

Just so I know what to look for, where is the clutch-switch and how might I be sure it is good?

With LowRyter long-term report, I'd like to make an order for myself. I can't find it on AliExpress or Ebay so minimum order from Alibaba is two. Anyone else interested? I'll order as many as needed and ship them to each of you.

This past weekend, in spite of the heavy heat in SoCal, I managed to put the bike back together, fill it with fuel, and crank it over. It never started, but I'm assuming that's because it didn't crank long enough to build fuel pressure. It was leaking from the left injector. I pulled the hose, drained the tank, and covered the bike back up. It's difficult to remove the tank as there is so many items attached to it. I'll get it back off, figure out why I have the leak and once I square that up, we'll reattach the tank and see if I can get to light!

…late to this Carbon Fiber frenzy thread, lol. I'm interested depending on final details. thx

I managed to remove all four injector screws, and only buggered the head of one. Fortunately it was after I had already backed it out a few turns so I managed to cut the head off, remove the injector, then remove it the remainder of the way with pliers. Yesterday, I bought new 5mmx40mm screws. I bought both counter-sunk heads, but also a set of the knurled style allen bolts. I think I may go with those as they seat nicely, and still expose enough head to use pliers should they get stuck again. Hopefully I'll be riding this bike enough, there will be no need to ever remove them again!

V11LeMans.com and yourself have truly proven your worth. Thank you so much.

yup, that's what I was missing. Thank you again, sir.

thisoldtractor is where i downloaded these, appreciative of it. I'll go back and give it another look, thank you. Having recently completely rebuilt a 1982 Honda GL500 from their Factory Service Manual, I may have high expectations, lol.

I downloaded the V11 factory manual, printed it two-sided, placed it in a binder and then was left confused. It's in three languages, but not 100% content for each. In addition it seems out of order, portions missing altogether. Lastly, it's awful, not much in the way of step by step repairs. I looked for fork seals and by the time I deciphered Marzocchi vs Öhlins, English, Italian and German, I was left with not much more than a parts schematic. What am I missing, can ya help?

I went to buy the GB (found on Craigslist) and he mentioned he had another bike he also wanted to sell. I heard it's a Moto Guzzi and my eyes lit up! Once I saw it, it was sold!

these bikes have sat for over a decade, they need cleaned thoroughly. I've already removed and flush the tanks, and have been slowly replacing fuel lines, filters, etc. Once I remove the injectors, I'll hook them up to my newly purchased injector pulse machine from Aliexpress and should be good to go. The CW600 is not stock, no airbox or original carb. It's running a complete White Bros/Sudco kit that includes a Mikuni Flatside.

This image was the day I brought both home on my trailer. I'm anxiously awaiting the day I get to start and ride either of them. I only need to remove and clean the injectors and install a battery for the V11 to start (fingers crossed). It also has a leaking fork seal though. As for the GB, I still need to clean the carb, then a battery and go for a run!

Thank you everyone that responded. Yes, I understand the carryover, use the parts-bin, ship-to-USA mindset. It does seems as though this model is the least documented. Rosso Vintage, I like the sound of that. I also like the lavender mufflers, they match the tank as if intentional! Being discolored and not painted this way also explains why I never see the bike with this color combo unless it's a used bike photo. My bike does also have the crinkle paint btw.

https://www.cyclechaos.com/wiki/Moto_Guzzi_V11 I was told by this forum my 2003 V11 falls into a black hole of definition; you weren't kidding. The combination of both Marzocchi forks and the small bikini carbon fairing make it undefinable, cannot find it listed this way anywhere. To further complicate it, it's eggplant in color with lavender mufflers. I keep thinking maybe the fairing was added, but the combination of all these factors, no. Can anyone find this combo listed anywhere online, was it actually a legit MG model?

Thanks for this post, it has given me a list of options I need to add to my bike, lol. GLWTS

Exactly my issue @MartyNZ, thank you. Heating the head of the screw; excellent idea, can't way to try it.

Cleaning the fuel system as my newly acquired 2003 V11 has been sitting for a decade. I have everything apart, replacing filters and fuel lines along the way. Lastly the injectors. They seem to be attached via two allen head screws, nothing more. These screws barely rotate and frankly feel like I'll break them if I insist. Is this the correct way to remove them? Please help, before I break something, lol!

Thank you for your replies. Being in Southern California I have numerous places I can take them. Although I ’m more than comfortable swapping the seals myself, as I say I’ve done this before with other bikes. I guess I’m mostly curious about the special tool. i’m actually leaving tomorrow for vacation, so I have plenty of time to think about it. Ciao

My newly acquired 2003 V11 has leaked all of the fluid from the right fork. (I used a tool to reseat the seal, but not too sure about it being successful. I'll add fluid and see what I have.) I've rebuilt forks a number of times, most recently on a 1982 GL500. To avoid needing a special tool to hold the internals, I just used an impact gun and broke the nut free without the need to hold the other side. Can this be done with the V11 or is the tool a requirement? Considering I'll probably never use it again, I may opt to pay for this service. Opinions, advice, DIY procedures to share? thx
