  1. What dates are you thinking? Are Stelvios allowed?
  2. Yep, it's a work of art...in my book at least.
  3. There, a bit more of the tree.
  4. And the leaves are nice too.
  5. @docc, I dont have it back together yet so can't answer that. Many things in life this year have kept me from putting the time in...covid for one, lost a whole month there. Soon though. What baffles me is the difference in orientation of the driveshaft on different bikes. Mine was like the shop manual diagram. Why are others spun around? Don't have a clue, but mechanically it shouldn't make a difference.
  6. Same as what docc? The pictures or the diagram? Mine had the female spline off of the gearbox, just like the diagram. That is the shorter piece with the grease zerk. I marked mine before I removed it. It was not lined up with the factory white marks...almost 90° off. The yokes were not on the same plane. If I put it back to the marks, they are. It's a phenomena.
  7. That Quota has one helluva shine on it, it's like a mirror. Must be a ceramic coating.
  8. Mick, as far as I know, anything goes here in the US. If you can put apehanger bars on your Harley, all else is just just a mild tweak.
  9. Just got back from hiking three Utah NP's. Did a fair amount of driving and noticed all the bikes. Great cruising roads! Most of the bikes were Harleys and BMW's. Lots of of dirty GS's. Never saw a Guzzi.
  10. I've never had a passenger on a bike with clip ons, so I see your points about adding more weight when your arms are already loaded a bit would not be good. Sitting upright on a BMW RT or a Stelvio seems to change that a bit. Does a pillion find long rides comfy with a bike with clip ons? IDK. Or even the rider? I know I never did, that's why I got the Beemer way back when, and now a Stelvio.
  11. Clinching the legs goes without saying. The hands anywhere never bothered me. I had a pillion for years that was quite busty...didn't matter where her hands were, I always felt her on my back...kinda liked it.
  12. Has she tried to put her hands on your shoulder blades during braking? The component of force she exerts is braced by the line of your arms on the bars and might be enough to keep bodies colliding. Panic stops might be too much for this tactic, but with regular braking it would help. I ride completly different with someone behind me because of necessity and to make them as comfy as possible.
  13. I'm going to have to temper that a bit...
  14. Yeah, that gearbox has an odd patina. Tire age would be another good indicator. 2k miles might have originals on, and date stamp could confirm that.
  15. Pulling the plugs is also helpful because you can use a straw to zero in on TDC proximity.
  16. What's really sad is these bikes always pop up 3000 miles away.
  17. 2000 miles!!? https://hudsonvalley.craigslist.org/mcy/d/hudson-2000-moto-guzzi-v11-sport/7658099161.html
  18. Thats one way to get those unis greased...
  19. Yep, I agree. Right now I am just brainstorming what to do...can't put it back the way it is now, there is not full articulation. My hunch is possibly the manufacture and dimensions of these zerks has changed a bit since the 2018 link. I'll work it out somehow.
  20. I'm going to try these. No doubt about it, the ebay ones rub the inside of the yoke at the tip of the nipple. I'll post up a pic to show. Maybe someone can spot something I did wrong. https://www.fittings.space/ssg21-m8x10m-90 If they swing too close to the cross recess, I'll grind down a nut to serve as a spacer.
