  1. Technomec supplies parts for farming implements. My contact there says this is their busiest time of year as winter has ended and farming is in full swing. I'm told they only sell 10 of these units a year on average. No clue to what they are used for. Maybe farmers with V11's?
  2. I have received another order...I cleaned them out. They will order more but they wont get them for three months. I have a pair or two up for grabs if anybody is in need. PM's please.
  3. I'll take one. Should've could've...
  4. Did a hiking trip there last Sepember with some HS buds. Really narrow road for driving on with a rented Ford Expedition. Had to drive with the mirrors folded in...those rock walls were sure close! A bike would be no prob. Beautiful place for sure.
  5. My rear pads were really worn so I got a pair from MGCycle. They were less expensive than the fronts. EBC-GG. They claim low disc wear...we'll see.
  6. Well, it only takes one...
  7. Are you referring to the low head?
  8. Sold to someone in CA. Shipping soon.
  9. Beautiful! Wind sock shows not a puff of wind, nice evening for a flight. Thanks for sharing!
  10. Could be brandy new...the old one looks to be on the floor with a nick in it.
  11. Guess that's the better way to look at it...you never really know. At least I have the important part.
  12. Had a feeling this might be dead in the water. Finding one of these for sale is uncommon, they usually come with a bike attached.
  13. What is that to the left of the filter socket?
  14. And I will never vote down new rubber. Prevents the should've could'ves.
  15. Those tufted areas look like they would hold water wonderfully.
  16. Semt pm
  17. I asked the gentleman at Technomec how the future looks for stocking these essential parts for our bikes. He indicated that they are readily available to them, but they only sell about ten units a year. We just purchased a dozen, so in one order we broke their annual sales number.
  18. Says 700 on the listing...no fade on the tach. Looks good!
  19. Check your PM's.

  21. Seriously though, if the VIN falls within recall numbers and you cant get proof of repair, I would walk...but that's just me. Tire age is much more important than wear. My V11 had a total of thirty years on front and rear. That definitely figured on my price offer. Have you looked the tank over closely for bubbling or blisters, common with some tanks. Mine didnt exhibit any of that, just scratches. Something I didnt look at close enough when I saw mine were the side covers. One side was cracked pretty bad around the mounting screws. I was a V11 newbie at the time and missed that. I'm learning though. As docc said, a pic under the seat can tell some stories if viewed by some of these guys here. And what the heck is going on with those wires? Anybody who cares enough about things being right would not have that going on. Then there's things like the universal joints...any records relating to lubing them? They are tricky to get to, especially the front. So very important. Those handlebars...routing of brake lines and cables had to be affected...are they too tight in places causing pinch points? Here's my take...You're buying an older Italian bike...there was dialing in needed when these were new, and that need has increased with age. There are things you can see now, and things you will find out in due time. Unless it is a low milage creampuff that was kept in a heated space and records to show good care and service, it would be hard for me to pay that asking price. I'm not cheap, but I want value, and I definitely dont want to pay more than it is worth. I'm not sure this owner and I would come to terms.
  22. Well,I know what my wife would say...
  23. Sorry, all spoken for. I only got a dozen, didn't want to get stuck with extras. Almost every week I get a request for a pair. Not looking to make money on these, just helping out fellow owners. I might get another dozen if I get a few more requests. I want another pair myself.
  24. Just got back from DMV for my first ride with my new registration and title. All legal now. Had to slap a plate on it to get it there for them to check VIN since it came from Canada. New tires, gas, oil and filter. More work to do but it is now safe to ride now that the 2012 tires are history. Handles very nicely considering it weighs close to a Ford Excursion. Surprised the hell out of me how it dances around town. Too damn quiet though, need to look for something better for an exhaust note...can't hear the damn engine.
  25. Guess that rules out a trailer too.
