Years ago I saw a Centauro for sale in Los Angeles for top dollar that was painted flat black and described as Stealth . 🥷 I actually thought it looked pretty cool and it sold pretty quickly. Anyone ever see it on the road in California ?

Back in December I bought a yellow 1997 Centauro basket case with 21,000 miles (all the fairings are off it) but I saw a video of it running. Today I purchased a 1998 yellow Centauro with 18,000 miles and a cracked head. Both owners were not Guzzi guys and I got them dirt cheap . My hope is that I have one good engine that I will put belts on. I also am pulling the bad head to see what collateral damage took place when the right head got cracked. Is the piston still good ? If so should I put the good head on the damaged engine and replace belts and see if it will run ? I will pull the bad head soon and do an inspection.If the results are positive, I might be in need of a used V10 right side head if anyone has one laying around. I have already begun sourcing Daytona parts to convert one Centauro into a Daytona RS. PS - I made a phone call to discuss the bad engine and was told to totally tear down the engine to inspect the crank .🤔hmm

I am doing a cafe build and really like the look of the older Daytona solo seat Fairing. I found two companies that appear to be making these . Officine08 : Fiberglass seat Moto Guzzi 1000 Daytona (Italy) Euro 173,45 avenue748 : Moto Guzzi Daytona race seat (NSW Australia) AU $495 Has anyone had experience with these fiberglass fabricators ? They look good in their photo’s but there is a big difference in price $$$

My Daytona build will need a seat fairing. I can find Daytona RS used fairings but like the older style Daytona fairings like the one on my 1993 Daytona. I see that Ave 748 out of New South Wales builds one . Does anyone have experience with their quality and pricing ?

I reached out to forum members in hope of finding parts for a Daytona RS build. I was contacted with a lead. The lead was an email of a guy named Leo. When I sent him an email he responded calling himself Sean and asked what I needed. I replied a Sport 1100 fuel tank and maybe a V10 engine right head. He sent me great photos of the tank with a great price $350 including shipping and said he thought he had a V10 engine. I said I would take the tank and he followed with information to wire money from to him (Basir Morgan) from my bank. My bank thought there were some red flags 🚩 I replied and asked if the V10 came out of a Sport 1100 ? He said yes. at this point I grabbed my wallet and ran. That night I was on EBay Germany looking for Guzzi parts when I saw all the photos he sent me for the Guzzi Fuel tank in an ad. Instead of $350 including shipping it was EUR 700 ! Just an FYI - I was getting scammed and almost lost $350 . eBay protects its buyers as well as PayPal.

I am currently looking for various parts all over the world and have had good luck finding someone selling most of them. Often just one guy and his ad says “will not ship to US “. I just questioned a guy in the UK and he said he won’t sell to the US or Canada because he can’t get parts insured. Sometimes a seller will ship if I say please but often not. It’s very frustrating when only one guy is selling what you need .

Is headlight gone ?

@santiagoc, I’m in need of your fairing bracket and headlight . Are these still available ?

Just bought a front fairing for a 1997 Daytona RS and I need all the hardware that goes with the headlight and a headlight. Sport 1100 might be the same but I’m not sure. Any suggestions on where to find one would be appreciated. Not sure if it takes a separate mounting bracket. Photo below is what I believe it looks like.

If you had a Centauro with a blown v10 engine 🤔I’m thinking a used V11 engine would be easier to find, less expensive and might be an easy swap out 🤷‍♂️. What does the group think ?
