  1. Pete! Thank heavens I know what went wrong now...the bagpipes should be sustituted with a tuba! My dog will probably like that better too! k
  2. Gallo, I have the Rossopuro teflon sliders. They are a really well made piece. k
  3. MG Cycle...stock cans...quieter (beleive my old crossover may have been cracked). The Stucchi really smoothed the powerband out. Have not put in my FbF airbox kit or PCIII yet, but they are next. k
  4. Enzo, they look cool to me...but I just put on a Stucchi X, so will have to pass (no point in infuriating the keeper of the checkbook). k
  5. You'll be wanting the low heat signature mod and flare/chaff dispensers...very cool, but be sure you have some speed on before launching the chaff and never never never launch a flare while stopped at a gas station.
  6. I think Rich aced the quiz...I'll just copy his answers.
  7. Does anyone know of a battery/battery cable or wire quick-disconnect that one could splice in the positive side? Would like to permanently mount battery tender wiring, but be able to disconnect positive side downstream a bit to protect tender electrical bits while charger is operating. Thanks.
  8. Rocket, I went with rubber faced footpegs and cushy grip wraps with heaters in them...cut down some of the vibration. Keep smiling. k
  9. Welcome aboard! k

  12. I forgot "Uncle John's Biggest Ever Bathroom Reader"...it's one you'll like and no one will ask to borrow... k
  13. All we have here is the EasyRiders Motorcycle Show in February...reportedly there will be some V-Twins there, so I may ride over in my yellow leather jacket and see how well I fit in... ... or not k

    Presents!!!!!

I got a Stucchi X-over, PCIIIusb, FbF air kit and some belated brake pads...a food vacuum packer (I'm a deer hunter too)...an Etch-a-Sketch...some earplugs...some B&W old TV show DVDs...and an ice storm. Tex, be careful, that scuba tank is only rated to 7 feet. Oh, and a Mark Martin coffee cup...hmmm. k
  16. On motorcycles..."Sport Riding Techniques" by Nick Ienatsch And in the eclectic mix...the "WoT's" are good, but got bogged down around book 10 or 12..."Battlefield Earth" by L.Ron Hubbard (his other stuff gets a little weird)..."Without Remorse" by Tom Clancy..."The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (or is it Universe? my copies went to college with my son and never came back) by Douglas Adams..."Foundation" by Isaac Asimov (first of four)...the Harry Potter books (sure, why not)...the "Left Behind" series by LaHaye/Jenkins..."Karate-Do" by Gichin Funakoshi...and the Bible (it's a really good read). We had four days of ice and now back at 60F...gonna install the Christmas presents and get back out there. Enjoy. k
  17. I find them listed as stainless in several differenct references...I too must replace my pads in the very near future...I am wrestling with the pros/cons of the various compounds, but EBC seems the best/easiest brand to obtain and have a good rep in the chat strings. It never stops. k

    Happy holidays !

Merry Christmas from the iced in central south central US...oh well, it won't last long. k
  19. At the risk of making a break in this string of posts...I've seen "titanium bolts" twice today in different postings. Is there a titanium bolt kit out there somewhere? I see an "argal" kit from MG-USA, but am unsure of the gain if any. Thanks. k
  20. Welcome aboard, Chris. k
  21. Tex, couldn't get the video to run on my circa 1937 computer, but after a couple of carrier landings as a passenger I'll tell you the landing gear on airplanes can withstand alot of abuse when maintained...and assuming you hit what you're aiming at fairly square to center of the way the tires ought to be going. k
  22. You guys are getting me rev'd up! Just ordered the Stucchi x-over today and was going to try and wait on the cans until the check book caught up...but...

Cantaloop, Welcome! I believe the saying is "crazy like a fox"...I'm certain the meaning is up to interpretation, but I prefer to think of it as "crazy smart". Keep smiling. k
  24. That's wierd...there's my serial number! I spent a couple of months looking at new bikes and have decided to buy a Power Commander and Stucchi x-over instead...just can't find anything I like better. k
  25. I have one of Rich's gel cf seats on my Rosso. Made a big difference for me and I recommend his work. Quick turnaround.
