  1. Curiously I ask 'how does the broken clutch plate make a whining noise'.
  2. Question: Why? Answer: Because!
  3. I could kick anyone's ass if they just turned around and bent over! But I won't! My hat goes off to any and all of the riders in MotoGP and all other racers in other classes. They are out there racing whilst most of us dream about it! I'll bet the guys on the WCM/Blata can "kick my ass" on the track!
  4. I hope you are referring to the fact that for everytime they take off they have to land. Otherwise I'll have to contact the Transportation Safety Board and get a copy of the report that shows helicopter logging the second safest type of aviation after the airlines (and a very close second at that!). I am still thinking about your whine Robb! Try opening the gas cap to see if there is a pressure buildup that is perhaps bleeding off the vent in a way that produces the sound. A long shot I'm sure but it is all in the process of elimination.
  5. Well stated Goffredo. Cheers! Here is a link to a post on the MotoGP News forum. MotoGP News
  6. It depends on what height you intend to launch the bike!
  7. Well we don't want everyone to have one!
  8. Ciao Francesco! I got the MGS. When are you coming to ride it?
  9. Fuel pump? Pressure bleeding off that makes a sound similar to spinning sound? Not knowing!
  10. But the 750 Breva would be a blast and very competent in traffic!
  11. I have the same problem sometimes....
  12. F@%$#%g 'A', Bubba! They are paid to race, not forced to race and so they should race! Gibernau has 16 more chances to beat Rossi this year and if he can't then he is not the champion!
  13. Sete may not compete in the next race. RoadRacingWorld
  14. I watched some closeup video's of the manouvre on the MotoGP website. It shows Sete's shoulder impacting the end of Rossi's brake lever so I think there was physical pain to go along with the bruised ego! Perhaps if he had moved his shoulder backwards he would have applied front braking to Rossi's bike and things would be different. Maybe then both would have crashed and Melandri the winner! As Goffredo aptly puts it - "That's Art!" and in the world of motorcycles I am an Art lover!!!
  15. I'll bet the seat is not an issue with Rich.
  16. Try this site and sign up for the live video. I was up at 5 AM this morning to watch the race. Great racing! MotoGP
  17. We are paying about 2.50 USD per gallon here.
  18. YUP! The hole in the front is the only way air gets to the intakes. The air enters under the nose of the fairing, travels down the spine of the frame and then enters the airbox through the filter from the inside of the filter outwards (backwards?). I cannot say how much ram air effect there is but I presume there must be some!
  19. The Battle of Lundy' Lane, Chryslers farm and many others were fought and won by a fairly equal mix of settlers in Canada (ie militia) and professional British soldiers. General Isaac Brock probably had more impact on the formation of our nation than any other individual since! The Americans did torch the parliament buildings at York and fought and won many naval battles and then there was the silly Brits at New Orleans.....
  20. Thanks guys. I will watch that one on ebay and check with Zebulon. I also have a line on some Showa forks from a 996. If they are the right diameter then the price will be good.
  21. I've got White Power forks on my Centauro but just found out they are bent. I am looking for replacement parts or forks. The Guzzi replacement parts are about US$1400. I'll let you have them if I find some others!
  22. One of my favourite movies is Zulu! One of my fovourite pastimes is drinking beer! My favourite pastime is........(nudge, nudge, wink, wink!).
  23. It has been done. There is a link somewhere to some nutters in Germany who do precisely that!
