  1. The MGS has ram air! I watched a show on Speed Channel a few years back that showed paper filters do outperform other filters but only in very low humidity. On the west coast of Canada the humidity is generally very high and under these conditions a paper filter looses up to 35% flow. They also degrade in flow at a greater rate relative to the time used. I have no preference as to which aftermarket filter I use but I will not use paper where I live! P.S. I notice they measured humidity but did not vary it.
  2. I enjoy my neighbours immensely and am profoundly moved by the patriotism shown to their troops regardless of their political feelings.
  3. That is like saying there shouldn't be a huge market for Ferrari F50's and such. It is human personality and ego that give us these alternate choices because if logic prevailed no one would buy any Guzzi product - let alone Aprilia, Ducati, BMW and the like.
  4. I resemble that remark, EH! I think the war of 1812 in the Americas only shaped the identities of both sides and lead to Canada becoming a Dominion (that didn't hesitate to fight in either the first or second world wars! oops - no more stirring the pot now!).
  5. Thanks for the information.
  6. I recieved an email from the bloke who is selling the MGS. His response is as follows: Seems legit but I've still got mine so no worries there.
  7. True. Interesting though that he asks to be paid with cash or personal cheque. I wonder if he prefers small denominations too! In this day and age it shouldn't be too difficult to take your own digital picture or get a friend to take one. I couldn't wait to snap photo's of mine when I got it. I am more interested in ebays response to ee how they react to these things.
  8. That is on my list of things to do but I am waiting for the cheap calling rates from Canada wich coincide with late at night in the UK. That suits me!
  9. No wonder you English managed so well in all those wars!
  10. Perhaps we could let the thieving bastard perform the operation on himself with a rusty razorblade!
  11. He may be needed when we find the bloke who stole Zebulons bike!
  12. I wonder what his employers think of him?
  13. Good Lord! I believe you are right! Unfortunately I do not know of a doctor that can cure the first two.
  14. Well there must be some relationship between David Hasselhof, dirty politics and vomit!
  15. I hope we catch the thief that has stolen Zebulons bike first but we could use this bugger as the projectile for the firing squad!
  16. Don't let TX hear you say that!
  17. NOPE! That's my MGS, boyo!
  18. Actually the picture is of my own MGS on display for the dealership where I purchased it. The bloody b@$&%!d has used a photo of my bike to sell an MGS. I suspect he doesn't even have one to sell. I recieved an ebay notice regarding the first one that people may be using items like this to solicit responses from people and thereby get their email address or even get someone to pay for a non existant item. I reckon these people would offer you a cup of tea (spiked) and then offer the use of the loo so they could take photo's of you. There is always the possibility it is just some expat from Newcastle playing a practical joke but I doubt it!
  19. Ahh yes! Such as the floormat of a car or a waste bin! That is the disadvantage of projectile vomiting. It is so difficult to find someone quick enough to be able to collect it!
  20. If you are looking for power for a 4V motor then check out the websites of Paul Minnaert and Zebulon or else try the Centauro Owners Group website. They have lots of tips and links to lots more tips. There is already good power in the 4V motor but lots more to be found whether you want torque, horsepower or both. With regards to bigger pipes, by themselves they may not do much but in concert with other changes they are more suited for top end power. Good luck whatever you do.
  21. Some people subscribe to the school of warm vomit but I myself am a proponent of projectile vomiting which precludes any notion of tasting!
  22. Spectacular results of MGS transported from shop in western Canada to Newcastle upon Tyne. Proof here on ebay!!!! Beam me over Scottie!
  23. Well TX, I hope your proud of all the fuss you have started.
  24. I reckon it wasn't a good thing to have gearbox problems in the middle of a race but to have changed the gearbox in 16 minutes during the race and finishing the race speaks volumes about the quality of the crew and bike and the ease of serviceability. It was a 24 hour race wasn't it? That is a lot of stress on the bike and team especially a first effort so I am impressed!
  25. I knew it was a a hoax because a friend of mine whose father is stationed at one of the few manned lighthouses left said that they wouldn't be giving any course directives on the radio anyway. When I was flying in the arctic the radar there (up to 1985) was so archaic it could not handle anything under 100 knots airspeed. my helicopter would either show up as supersonic or not at all. There was once a major scramble to intercept some unknown bogies that turned out to be a flock of snow geese. The present radar however pinpoints aircraft to within metres!
